This is Grant. I only have one guitar (a Nelson). Reed and Andrew both have Nelsons also. Reed has about 4 or 5 guitars and Andrew has 3 I think. I have a drum set and so does Reed. Andrew has one bass. We have 2 CDs. We are self taught on some stuff but we all take guitar lessons from the same teacher. I take piano, too. Good luck with your music. Don't ever give up!

It's called a "Nelson" - a local guy here in Portland hand makes them. They are really amazing. Reed and I each have one, too. Andrew's has a lacewood body with a padauk fingerboard. The pickups are Duncan EVH - the same ones Eddie recorded the first VH album with.

Don't pay attention. That's a brilliant guitar you've got there. First off, Dean sucks, unless you're in for heavy stuff. This kind of classic rock stuff really isn't very heavy.

I would recommend a Fender Strat. Or an Epiphone. (The Epiphone Casino has a SICK classic rock sound for a fairly affordable price)

Something else you may want to try is changing what strings you use. Elixir guitar strings sound amazing. They're a bit pricey for strings though. (I buy mine for 30 bucks a set)
