  • its so sad - i´m so sad, that you Johnny, left us..............But we will remember..But for how long?? Soon we will join you, i´m rather old now, and then - whats left...To Sad..(vacation)..?

  • @Etrangere60 I feel you bro. God SO many great ones. Philip, Paris Lynott, Brian Connelly, But Johnny has that extra hurt because he was so tragic already. Turn off the lights and put on the "So Alone" album. His spirit will come to you..You must remember though, He's so untouchable. Bon Voyage to you, Johnny..

  • Sid and Johnny rip

  • så thunders på check point carlie i stavanger på slutten av 80 tallet, den konserten glemmer jeg aldri , RIP Johnny

  • One person can get a punch in the face RIGHT NOW.

  • incredible emotion. greatest backing band he ever had. RIP

  • heroin rock is kind of boring

  • @posthumanhero ya so is your mom but I didn't bitch & complain I rode that nut out dude... Fast fwd r leave

  • I was into "The Dan" so exclusively in '70's that sadly I missed some major players, such as The N,Y, Dolls, who collectively, and individually, radically altered the course of Rock and Roll forever... as I am just now learning 30+ years later. I never even considered them anything but a side-show band in those days and wouldn't give them a listen. Live and learn. Punk was ushered in by them more than ANY of the "others" who seem too anxious take credit for it 's creation.

  • this was one of johnnys last show if not his last, most people dont realize he had sevear stages of Leukemia aand was very weak here...

  • i just found the guitar chords for this, so happy

  • this is when johnny was trying to get clean

  • The Man Arrived!

  • why'd they take down Society Makes Me Sad from this show?

  • Great Video

  • Sad Vacation... aka Sid Vicious.

  • As my mother used to say (loudly and in public): that woman has legs that go right up to her bum. I think we need more air guitar like that on stage.

  • Johnny sure went out with a band, with this big band in 1991...

  • You and Sid are together now! <3

  • joder....se me ponen los pelos de punta!!!!(aun mas).kada vez ke eskucho esta kancion!!!!.-alex-

  • The thing about Thunders is he's not a "great" singer or guitar player in the traditional school of thought but his songs and his vibe as a performer are undeniablely off the chart....in other words a true artist.

  • Johnny is a GREAT guitarist,he was stripped down sleezy rock n roll to the bone,he inspired thousands including myself. He is also a great singer, his voice is amazing its so unique, thats like bob dylan to some his voice is horrible but thats who he is and its a wonderful sound

  • @teiscoxx I wouldn't say he was a great singer but his style of guitar was pure rock and roll which makes his great in my opinion.

  • Awesome freaking song!!!

  • looks like johnny is saying sid was murdered coz he was so real and honest

  • Johhny looks terrible *sad*. The leukemia was eating him up at the point. Sometimes I wonder if he OD'd on purpose in New Orleans to escape the pain of his illness.

  • he was murdered

  • @zepps88 They're all "murdered". Murdered by themselves perhaps.

  • JT's talent as a guitarist, singer, composer, and performer is beyond words. He was the engine behind the Dolls, but so much more as a solo artist. The world lost a rock legend in Johnny, as well as so many others. He is so overlooked when it comes to discussing the evolution of music from the early 70s to today.

  • I completely agree with MadderRoseRulz. Spot on.

  • MadderRoseRulz said it all!

  • @MadderRoseRulz i agree

  • No, I mean Johnny was always great, but around this time he was even greater. I always loved his solo stuff.

  • I said this was his peak.

  • New Yorks Alright If Ya Like SAXAPHONES!!.

    No, This is beautiful.

    R.I.P. J.T.

  • he was the best ever...no shitty poser no fake no people pretendind to be someone's else johnny was the truth

  • semplicemente unici, RIP Jhonny , siamo i soliti nati per perdere ....

  • love that guy

  • Johnny Thunders had leukemia?? tht was posted by 8745richard. Does anyone know if that's true?

  • I've read that that found malignant leukekia during hist autopsy, and that it put him in a weak state during his death... Sad...

  • Thanks for replying. -I've now read in a few different places that Johnny Thunders had advanced leukemia at his time of death...so either way he was going down (be it by drugs or natural causes) so many of these guys (from the NY punk movement of the '70's and 80's) are dead from naural causes...odd

  • Yeah, either way he was going down... but I think he peaked in the years before his death... poor Johnny

  • do u remember leaving this comment. "the years before his death" thats so broad it could be from his birth to his death

  • I meant the years right before his death he put out some great material...

  • No offense but I hate when people say that. Damn do you think it would ave been better if he peaked out and then died with the Heartbreakers. He made beautiful music his whole life isn't that enough? Most people do peak long before they die!

  • I never said that. By the way, FEAR is great

  • It was advanced leukemia, I'm still not sure though. That's what Johnny's sister Mary said. My dad was good friends with Johnny and we still keep in touch with his family so that's how I know that.

  • Thanks for replying...I find it really odd so many guys from the NY punk scene of the seventies and eighties had really terrible diseases like Joey Ramone,,,Arthur Kane also had leukemia as did Johnny T....Jerry Nolan died of a stroke after meningitis...Stiv died in his sleep of a concussion (after a car accident) etc. etc. makes you wonder??

    penthouse10 akaKCRamone

  • Do Ya know Chris Sabarton then. The Dude that arried Johnny's Ex-Wife and then is step father to son Jon?

  • is there album of this year with saxphone?

  • idk about this year with the saxaphone but there is a live album with the sax in it its called "JOHNNY THUNDERS YOU CANT PUT YOUR ARMS AROUND A MEMORY"

  • tanx

  • is there album of this with saxaphone

  • with this year

  • So Sad for Johnny too!!!

  • just say thanks to the guy for sticking it out so long. this world is a disappointing place.

  • The "world" or the people in it?

  • yep, almost the end. he looks good here actually, worse later. too bad he had to shoot his heroin. if he only had smoked it, he may still be here physically. ...and jimi, janis, moon, bonham, bon scott, phil lynott--- what could have been???....sad.

  • He doesn't look good at all here, and this was 3 weeks before he died. And it will always remain a mystery how he really died. But he was very ill at this point, he had leukemia and you can tell by the way he looks that he was sick. And this time it was not because of drugs, because he wasn't on drugs here.

  • you can die when you not ondrugs

  • geez this was the end wasn't it

  • Johnny was great not because he was ( or had been...) a junky. JT was fucking great because of his talent, nothing else. thank to keep R'n'R' up.

  • magnifique performance !!

  • I love this!

  • He looks fucking terrible!!!

  • no shit.

  • actually now that im sober, i think it is the lights.

  • we miss you johnny! have fun in rock n roll heaven along with all the others not with us. RIP
