Charles Lutwidge Dodgson was not on "shrooms" when he wrote this. The book was very allegorical. It upsets me that an artist can't create something remotely abstract without being accused of drug use.

Yesh, but he was very twisted! I mean, he was in love with a 7 year old girl, who he thought of this story for. He was, however, most likely on opium, as nearly everyone was on those days (I read that in the front of my Alice book...)

Oh my God, I can't wait to see this!!! It actually looks more like the story as written. It's sort of dark, but people tend to like lightweight children's stories so that's been downplayed.

But not by our Tim! And with Depp as the Mad Hatter, I KNOW I'm going to love it!!! :-D

The guy who wrote the original Alice In Wonderland was a professor of Logic at Cambridge University named Lewis Carroll. He wrote it for a little girl he was fond of named Alice. Its trippy because he played with logic a lot.

I've been excited about this since I first heard the Tim Burton was directing a version of Alice In Wonderland...

However writer Linda Woolverton tired to '"freshen it up" by making Alice older and returning to Wonderland, obviously didn't realize that she was taking the plot from the other books.

Return to Oz actually was good!

And I really want to see some Alan Rickman in the next trailer!
