The Neo-cons are uncomfortable when a liberal shows them the steel in their spine. All should put out an ad with this douche bag cowering in some dark corner.
That doesn't look like the same footage. If you notice the footage shown in the fake tvs at the end, there is a camera flash on Franken's left. No such flash is seen in the video of the story. Plus he smiled more when telling the story.
But anyways, who gives a s**t if he gets angry sometimes? It has nothing to do with leading.
Even if Franken really was an angry person, I would love to know why most politicans don't get this angry about certain injustices in this country and our world.
I heard Al Franken turns dead babies into crack and then smokes them, and is secretly controlled by alien overlords (who are in turn controlled by the Illuminati. . . or maybe it's the other way 'round). Plus he's a "satirist" which I think means he has horns and cloven hooves. . . and we all know what THAT means. . . .
But still, I just can't bring myself to vote for Norm Coleman.
"Not an issue, long time ago, need to move on" . Do these phrases ever apply to Democrats, or can they only be used in support of Republican positions? ex all the Clinton 'scandals'
Norm-you called the wonderful late Senator Wellstone "the lowest common denominator". I thought a person could not go lower after such a baseless, callous remark but I have been proven wrong. I direct the same question to you as was asked of disgraceful Senator Joseph McCarthy: Have you no shame, sir?
You probably are aware that Al was a good friend of Paul's. They have many of the same ideals and he will do what is right. He is a brillant man, and his books are accurate (I did my own research) and laugh out loud funny. You can tell from his books that he vastly understands the issues and I believe 100% that he will fight for middle class Minnesotans.I am looking for a Paul Welstone type and IMO, Franken is as close as it gets. That's the highest compliment I could give of any candidate
Can someone tell me if this ad is actually being shown on tv in Minnesota? because it should. Very powerful and to be honest, quite embarassing to the Coleman campaign.
I live in New Jersey, so I don't see the political ads there. I've been a fan of Al Franken for a long time though, so eventhough I can't vote for him, I still support him! We need as many democrats as we can get in the Senate.
So after running this terribly nasty campaign, now Coleman says he won't run any more negative ads. Probably because they aren't working, because people are seeing through the distortions and distrations. Franken's criticisms of Coleman have been based on his record of voting with Bush, not some irrelevant nonsense like Coleman's attack ads have been.
I saw this commercial last during during The Tonight show and thought it was wonderful! I really hope Al gets this heavily on the airwaves to really show Minnesotans how devious and dishonest Norm Coleman is. I think this ad could clinch the election for Al! At least I hope so!
This is an ideal use of the web. Show up every lie told to make it utterly unambiguous. Inevitably of course, relatively few people will make the effort to do their research and actually view this video, but enough will. Word of mouth will spread the truth further.
I thought this was going to be a televised ad? If not, it really needs to be because one of the things Al does best is just dig up straight up DAMNING examples of Karl Rove style propaganda.

You could throw a dart at the phonebook and you'd have more than a 50% chance you'd get someone more qualified to govern than a republican.
Franken is more than qualified to best Coleman.

This is not an issue. Norm pulled the ad. Paul Wellstone was a great guy, but that was a long time ago and we need to move on.

Does anyone else not catch the fact that Franken isn't wearing the same clothes in this clip as in the Coleman attack ads??
Sneaky, sneaky.

Franken told that story more than once. Norm realizes that he was a jerk by manipulating Franken's words. I hope you realize the same.

The record shows that misleading ads are VERY effective.
The real "disgrace" belongs to a superficial and lazy electorate.
