In January 2011 I'm going from Spain to Turkey (6 months). From Barcelona to Karabük - Safranbolu. A unique experience must fit with a unique destination, not very popular or not among the richest, but attractive, tha's good ;-) As more locals and less spanish people I can meet, better for me :-D hahah
Is anyone else going to Germany on Erasmus? I'm heading out to Paderborn now on the 28th Feb with a friend and I'm so nervous. I can't wait though. Is anyone else going on Erasmus this year?
I'm going to Germany in July :) working out there for a year is going to be fun! I can't wait, I'm going to be in Munich though so different side of the country haha
I enjoyed watching this!!! Next year I will do ERASMUS! Im anticipating it very much! By the way, I had a project about ERASMUS. I will be very gratefull, if you could come, and leave there your comments about ERASMUS!
Seriously, stop thinking about it and just DO this program! Don't be scared to be alone, that feeling won't stay long. Everyone who did it would tell you that, and even carry you there if they could !
If you still doubt it, I posted a video on what ERASMUS has brought Europe, and how much it can bring you.
The worst thing with Erasmus if definutely the Erasmus blues, but that i the only bad experience that I had, connected with the Erasmus experience.
To all you potential Erasmus poeple I say 'Just do it!' It has been the best experience of my life. You meet such wonderful poeple from all corners of Europe which you just fall in love with (and you have free places to stay when you want to travel ;))
I wish that at ERASMUS program all expenses could be paid by government because there are some good students, who also want to experience but finances don't allow to do that. I've never been abroad by ERASMUS because my finances doesn't allow to do that. So I just can dream about it. But if you have an opportunity to go with ERASMUS, don't think, just go! :)
I am really hoping to get an Erasmus scholarship to Poland. I am looking forward for the May selection process. I am very excited about it but also very scared. If I succeed, I will be going alone. I am nervous about how people will be, if friendly, if I will manage to make friends and so on and so forth. Overall, no matter how scared I am, I will definetely give it a try no matter what. I hope it will be worth it.
If you want to go to a city with very open minded and friendly people go to cities like Kraków(Krakov) or Warszawa(Warsaw)). The first one is the cultural, academical, and party capital of Poland. The second one is the actual capital with all its great history, but also with all the stuff that every European capital has like creazy infrastructure, traffic and high prices.

I'm so looking forward to my Erasmus year hopefully in France and Germany. It's weird though as we have some Spanish and Swedish people here on Erasmus, so for them Birmingham is something new and exciting....strange thought.
Sorry but i think this video is a joke :) There are big problems with erasmus in Germany, Austria and Switzerland for example. We need a reform of Erasmus. And it must be even easyer to change university without making the uni to a primaryschool....
Funny, I was only thinking about Erasmus last week. I really want to study for a few months in Sweden and the uni that I go to in the UK does have a partner uni in Sweden. The deciding factor would be whether or not the university teaches Television Studies which is what I'm currently taking.

Great Video and great programme! One question: I was an Erasmus student back in 2006, may I now apply for an Erasmus Mundus MA Programme? Thanks!
