yo , forza 3 looks amazing , but i wish they would have shown more about the tuning aspect , and about the drifting aspect , they where drifting in the trailer tho , and it looked much smoother then forza 2 , the in car view wheater effects , and better drifting physics (being able to keep oversteering without snapping back) is what they did aparently , and more , i m not going to buy anything till this comes out , cant wait !
ehem , thats a complete lie , you cant drift perfectly smooth in forza 2 , i play forza since part 1 , the drifting didnt inprove much after part 1 , you cant keep oversteering , you have to keep balacing the car , it s not as in real life , in real life its much much smoother , and i doubt the average joe wont be able to drift in part 3 , since they made it alot smoother then in part 2 , in other words , you can control the car much better !

I only wish that they give many engine mods for the cars like the many engines for Hondas, Nissans, and the such, because i know that the majority of the engines for nissan is the rb26dett. we should be able to put in engines that fit, like the sr20det for drifting, rb20 and rb25, ka24de,ca18de and even the 1 and 2jz engines! we should be able to have many different options, so people cannot just guess once and get the right answer for our motor swaps!
Speaking as an owner of both 360 and PS3, let's not forget the whole reason that Forza even exists is because Gran Turismo was PS exclusive. GT5 is scheduled release for 2010. A 2009 release of FM3 should give the GT team and Sony a swift kick in the nuts. Microsoft has a habbit though of jumping the gun and F'ng everything up. Hopefully GT learns from Forza's example and both see the mistakes of GT5 Prologue. I hope that both games are equally awesome.
I really hope they dont fuck up the drifting. In other games where you can drift, you just press a button and it puts you in the drift( like juiced2) In FM2, you had to drift as if it were real. I really hope they dont make a drifting "mode" where it totally kills the realism so that any average joe can drift. It's supposed to take time and lots of practice.
Allot of people are worried they are going to give it arcade features like that, but I am 99% certain that they will never do this, there are plenty of arcade racers like project gotham for 360, so they have no need, plus turn ten says that the whole reason they made forza is to give people the joy of racing real cars "car lust" as they say.

about the ONLY thing i want them to get perfect in Forza 3 is the SOUND OF CARS... that's still lacking quite a bit in terms of getting sound samples from the real cars. take the Ferrari F40 sound for example, it just flat out dont sound like that in REAL LIFE as Forza 2 is 'ok' (in terms of sound) but clearly not the same engine sound as real life (sadly this will most likely never be fixed)

700 cars, yet no desirable exotica like Ferrari's or Lambo's. GT4 had 80+ skylines, 100+ honda econoboxes, many of which only the name was different, and no difference in power or appearance.

Yeah, it probably won't happen. GT5 has in-car views, but considering how successful the GT series has been, they probably have a much bigger budget to work with than the people working on Forza 3.

well at lets face it the only good thing about gt5 is its graphics, which are likely to be the same as forza 3's graphics, gran turismo is always and has always been hyped up to much. I don't press a button down to accelerate though, I use a Fanatec Porsche GT3 RS Clubsport set up.

And the point I made about you being 15 (and so many other gamers that haven't even passed their test never mind driven on track) is that they're certainly in no position to comment on driving sim physics being realistic.
Just as an example and a final point before I move on from the subject; Two cars from GT5 and Forza I've driven on tracks are the BMW E92 M3 (GT5) and Gallardo.
I'd say the M3 in GT5 is about 25-30% more acurate to real life reguarding what you feel through the wheel and see on the screen than the Gallardo in Forza 2.
The changes to the cars set ups are also more accurate in feel and behaviour.

Well, It's unanimous that you have to get a feel for the body roll of the car, and you have to feel that point where the Steering wheel gives you that "2 way easy spot and then it's hard to turn" and then your start skidding. I get that feeling on Forza, even though I use a controller. I'm not willing to purchase GT5P or a PS3 because I've had a bad experience with Sony. - Sorry Sony- I saw a video here where a 2007 Ferrari Formula 1 car didn't just completely demolish some Corvettes.
To add to last comment, That jsut doesn't make sense. I watched a video of Alonso in Rio doing way more than 160 through turns, On GT5P, that car didn't seem to take the first long winding right turn at a speed competetive with a Corvette. That raises a flag.
There's a video on Youtube of the 2007 Ferrari F1 going around Suzuka on GT5P with the screen split in half. The other half of the screen is on board footage of the REAL Ferrari F1 going around Suzuka and they're going around the whole lap at the exact same time. Look for yourself.
Alonso isn't going around Rio in GT5P either!

Gran Turismo is indeed a classic. But ever since GT5P came out, Im just not impressed anymore. It seems like everytime the game series advances in the graphics department, it looses its fun.
However Forza has always kept its fun and graphics, which is why I like it.

With 11 years of track driving and training behind me trust me when I say NO other game so far comes as close to GT5 as the real thing. And that includes all that Sim Bin crap on PC. No bias towards PS3 either because I love 360 aswell.

Aside from that, I think they should fuck the assist system to help new players ease into the game. It's not like Forza 2 was that hard to ease into. You just have to realize that unlike other games you actually have to break before a turn, and once you get that down you are pretty much set.

and for you people that don't understand the 2 disc thing, it's simple, the online stuff is on one of the discs and the offline is on the other, so if you are playing offline and wants to play online you just change the discs:P

Forza Motorsport I, II, are good games, and III will probably be good too. I know 400 cars is a big car range, but I think they should really compete with GT5, and give us over 1000 cars like GT IV, and GT V did, (Gran Turismo 4, and 5).

Forza 3 is Native 720p 60 Frames per Second, but can be scaled to 1080p. Not just 1080i.

I only wish that they give many engine mods for the cars like the many engines for Hondas, Nissans, and the such, because i know that the majority of the engines for nissan is the rb26dett. we should be able to put in engines that fit, like the sr20det for drifting, rb20 and rb25, ka24de,ca18de and even the 1 and 2jz engines! we should be able to have many different options, so people cannot just guess once and get the right answer for our motor swaps!

Speaking as an owner of both 360 and PS3, let's not forget the whole reason that Forza even exists is because Gran Turismo was PS exclusive. GT5 is scheduled release for 2010. A 2009 release of FM3 should give the GT team and Sony a swift kick in the nuts. Microsoft has a habbit though of jumping the gun and F'ng everything up. Hopefully GT learns from Forza's example and both see the mistakes of GT5 Prologue. I hope that both games are equally awesome.

I really hope they dont fuck up the drifting. In other games where you can drift, you just press a button and it puts you in the drift( like juiced2) In FM2, you had to drift as if it were real. I really hope they dont make a drifting "mode" where it totally kills the realism so that any average joe can drift. It's supposed to take time and lots of practice.

Allot of people are worried they are going to give it arcade features like that, but I am 99% certain that they will never do this, there are plenty of arcade racers like project gotham for 360, so they have no need, plus turn ten says that the whole reason they made forza is to give people the joy of racing real cars "car lust" as they say.

about the ONLY thing i want them to get perfect in Forza 3 is the SOUND OF CARS... that's still lacking quite a bit in terms of getting sound samples from the real cars. take the Ferrari F40 sound for example, it just flat out dont sound like that in REAL LIFE as Forza 2 is 'ok' (in terms of sound) but clearly not the same engine sound as real life (sadly this will most likely never be fixed)
whoever does there sound should be fired and replaced by someone who will do it properly!!!

700 cars, yet no desirable exotica like Ferrari's or Lambo's. GT4 had 80+ skylines, 100+ honda econoboxes, many of which only the name was different, and no difference in power or appearance.

I just thought of tht... Ive always wanted that in forza and gta4 for 360, but then realized who would spend that much extra time for EVERY car, and especially forza becuase you can tune things like wieght reduction (loosing windows, seats ect.)

GT5 Prologue out sold Forza 2, by 2:1. You can tune, Physics are good, but no damage, which I prefer.
However, due to the lengthy time gt5 is taking to get out, FORZA 3 FTW.

I don't press a button down to accelerate though, I use a Fanatec Porsche GT3 RS Clubsport set up.

And the point I made about you being 15 (and so many other gamers that haven't even passed their test never mind driven on track) is that they're certainly in no position to comment on driving sim physics being realistic.

Just as an example and a final point before I move on from the subject; Two cars from GT5 and Forza I've driven on tracks are the BMW E92 M3 (GT5) and Gallardo.
I'd say the M3 in GT5 is about 25-30% more acurate to real life reguarding what you feel through the wheel and see on the screen than the Gallardo in Forza 2.
The changes to the cars set ups are also more accurate in feel and behaviour.
GT's developers are very obsessive and it shows!

Well, It's unanimous that you have to get a feel for the body roll of the car, and you have to feel that point where the Steering wheel gives you that "2 way easy spot and then it's hard to turn" and then your start skidding. I get that feeling on Forza, even though I use a controller. I'm not willing to purchase GT5P or a PS3 because I've had a bad experience with Sony. - Sorry Sony- I saw a video here where a 2007 Ferrari Formula 1 car didn't just completely demolish some Corvettes.

To add to last comment, That jsut doesn't make sense. I watched a video of Alonso in Rio doing way more than 160 through turns, On GT5P, that car didn't seem to take the first long winding right turn at a speed competetive with a Corvette. That raises a flag.

There's a video on Youtube of the 2007 Ferrari F1 going around Suzuka on GT5P with the screen split in half. The other half of the screen is on board footage of the REAL Ferrari F1 going around Suzuka and they're going around the whole lap at the exact same time. Look for yourself.
Alonso isn't going around Rio in GT5P either!
It seems to me you're just another case of waving the flag for Xbox and will argue a point based on nothing but brand loyalty.

My original point was that people who haven't had the chance to drive a car on circuit and then the same car on a driving sim/game can't give an acuratley judged comment (and there seems to be a LOT of you!)
I'm lucky enough to driven quite a few very fast machines on tracks and own an E46 M3 CSL tuned for track use. At home I use a Fanatec GT3 RS Clubsport set up and all I'm saying is I've found GT5P to be closer to how the real thing feels, thats all.
I can't put it any simpler, really.

Gran Turismo is indeed a classic. But ever since GT5P came out, Im just not impressed anymore. It seems like everytime the game series advances in the graphics department, it looses its fun.
However Forza has always kept its fun and graphics, which is why I like it.

With 11 years of track driving and training behind me trust me when I say NO other game so far comes as close to GT5 as the real thing. And that includes all that Sim Bin crap on PC. No bias towards PS3 either because I love 360 aswell.

haha. This was pretty much taken directly from wikipedia. But then again that is about all the information that is known about the game.
Aside from that, I think they should fuck the assist system to help new players ease into the game. It's not like Forza 2 was that hard to ease into. You just have to realize that unlike other games you actually have to break before a turn, and once you get that down you are pretty much set.

Forza Motorsport I, II, are good games, and III will probably be good too. I know 400 cars is a big car range, but I think they should really compete with GT5, and give us over 1000 cars like GT IV, and GT V did, (Gran Turismo 4, and 5).

I'm not so sure why, but hopefully they would have more:)But really, damage, in GT5. I don't think they are going to do that. I mean think about it. No GT series had it, neither Prologue.
