@ominus13 you must not have herd of the class controller(snes style with dual analogs and dual L/R triggers), or the classic pro(ps2 style controller), or if your a beginner they have easy set controllers just for the wii mote alone which are actually pretty effective to play with though over simplified. all im saying is if you actually had this game, u wouldn't make make that comment because you'd see how they adapted this fighting game for every style of controller the player may be using
@jsambition i own that game and it hasn't stopped me from bitching about the god awful controls non-stop, so your thesis is incorrect. what makes me most upset is the down diagonal instead of straight down for pop ups. the only reason to justify changing that is to make it reverse of what everyone good knows to do to help noobs catch up, but that logic fails because noobs are more likely than ever to put up accidental dragon uppercuts with the way it is now.
@jsambition the next big problem i have is nerfing our punches and kicks down to just 3 attack buttons from 6. dreamcast had a wonky controller without enough buttons too, but they made it work by putting weak and medium together, and it would have worked here too with triggers to spare.

i don't know why people are complaining that there aren't any good games out for the Wii... galaxy, twilight princess, BRAWL, this game, wii sports resort, mario kart, house of the dead overkill, warioware smooth moves, new super mario bros, soon to be galaxy 2, metroid the other M, and others that you guys may or may not have liked.
just shooters fail really badly because they try to get the wii-mote involved, and its all downhill from there.

The Buffer system sucks, Meta Knight is just TOO good, Final Smashes kind of sucked ass and it was just so.. campy. Plus, Wi-fi sucked. Hardcore, it would've been better with a TatsuVsCapu wi-fi system.
I like SOME of the characters they added, but characters don't make the game.
Icy's weren't too buffed, they had an infinite before too and Popo is pretty similar, only Nana got an AI buff.
guys remember that they would have to do this game from sratch just to port it to Ps3/360/Pc. This game was made on the wii Arcade machine originally, so it was a easy port to make it to the wii, however other consoles wouldn't be easy. So just buy a wii, for 250 dollars then buy this!
Question! How much life bar % does that do to some of the heavier characters, like Hakusho Daimyo, (however you spell it) or Alex? And also, Does it work against the big guys, Gold Lightan, etc?
Overall this combo would not work lol since you cannot connect batsu air fireball from a ground combo unless you do a ground to air combo.

Also Alex lv 3 wouldnt connect even if they block it they would use the barrier block to knock you back just incase you were to think it will work even if they block. :)
I have always thought one of the main reasons of making it Wii exclusive was that Capcom wanted to compensate the fact that SFIV is in PS3, 360 and PC.
Yeah, piracy is strong in the Wii but a lot of people have the console, so despite piracy they will get a lot of sales.
And as for the controller, I use the gamecube controller, and is not difficult to do combos and stuff... I would prefer another controller like the play station ones... but well...
Because the original arcade game of TvC had controls similar to the Wii in Japan. Porting it to the XBox and PS3 would be a waste of money and time on Capcom's favor.

i know plenty of people that never grew up with fighters and have trouble doing a fireball motion and they play with the wii remote and nunchuck, they play very well because all you have to do is shake the control and you use your HC. i prefer it this way because anyone can get into it and a beginner can be a challange. The game has a fight stick and it's very easy using a classic controller. i know people that prefer the GC control better. it just varies with the person. im glad its only on wii

Wii has plenty of good games. in fact, it offers more to the gaming community than any other system. It doesn't have to rely on Guns, Killing, and good graphics to make a superior game. Nor does the DS.
True there are probably a great amount of stuff I missed(Condiut). But Wii and DS don't literally rely on Killing Simulators wih great graphics for more than half of thier Library. I think the Nintendo(and the others making the games for Nintendo Platforms) knows exactly whats necessary for a great game.

Okay, now this is the part where you go, "OH, this game has absolutely nothing to do with the Wii's special features and could be better on any other console/PC!" It would have the same gameplay, better graphics and better online capabilities. That's why people want it ported.

yeah there is jap games on 360 and ps3 with characters many people dont know about,even the ps2 has them, some even become edited by some regular persons with translation text etc,like namco x capcom, final fantasy ??? which was released exclusively in japan with new characters.

Hell, I saw Twilight Princess for nearly full price. I've always been a hardcore gamer, even if I am a girl I go for the serious fighting games. Street Fighter is one of my favorites and seeing this game brought me joy because FINALLY I can play as Chun li.

Although I share the same thought that TvC will not be ported to PS3/360, you can't really play the "the arcade cabinet was based on Wii hardware, so it is Wii only" card. The Tekken 6 cabinets are based on PS3 hardware, and look what happened, it got ported to the 360.
@NejixHinataFan I would agree with you on this if Wii online wasn't garbage. Too many people using wireless, a bad service to begin with. I don't even bother trying to play this game online anymore, because it lags 99% of the matches, and when I play SSF4/MvC2/anything else on PS3, it works fine.
@guitaristsbane I realized that too. TvsC is a great game, but the online is insanely awful! To the point I face so many spammers (you wouldn't believe) or that it lags 99% of the matches, it gets to be ridiculous and annoying. I still play online, but not as much. Sometimes I do get a decent fight with a good player and no lag. Despite that, I still love TvsC just that the wi-fi feature is bad.
Nope, TvC was made to have one character represent a title. CAPCOM avoided this to have 3 characters from one central title. Ryu=SF, Chun-Li=SFII, Alex=SFIII, Roll=MM, Megaman Volnutt=MML, Zero=MMX. Noone else from the SFIII title will appear besides Alex.
how is that shit? capcom tried to make all systems balanced with fighting games. 360/ps3 gets marvel vs capcom 2, street fighter 4, and super street fighter 4. so wii gets this and that is only one game.

Yes, it does. Regardless of technical techniques or not, there's still competitive value. There's still the mind games and everything else. SF 3rd Strike had the "Parry" system which made it so competitive. They dropped it and went back to their roots in SF4. That's just as competitive as 3rd Strike now.
That's irrelevant. The point is TvC was already announced to be at Evo, even without a US release. And if you've played the game using Baroque, switch outs, Crush, you'd know how competitive it can be. Either way, it's in Evo. The end.

i know plenty of people that never grew up with fighters and have trouble doing a fireball motion and they play with the wii remote and nunchuck, they play very well because all you have to do is shake the control and you use your HC. i prefer it this way because anyone can get into it and a beginner can be a challange. The game has a fight stick and it's very easy using a classic controller. i know people that prefer the GC control better. it just varies with the person. im glad its only on wii

Wii has plenty of good games. in fact, it offers more to the gaming community than any other system. It doesn't have to rely on Guns, Killing, and good graphics to make a superior game. Nor does the DS.

True there are probably a great amount of stuff I missed(Condiut). But Wii and DS don't literally rely on Killing Simulators wih great graphics for more than half of thier Library. I think the Nintendo(and the others making the games for Nintendo Platforms) knows exactly whats necessary for a great game.

I'm not sure how many people play this on a wii remote. Its not out in US yet.
And even if the wii mote was a problem, you can play with the GC and Classic Controller.

Okay, now this is the part where you go, "OH, this game has absolutely nothing to do with the Wii's special features and could be better on any other console/PC!" It would have the same gameplay, better graphics and better online capabilities. That's why people want it ported.
Also, you can't play this game with the Wiimote (and I hope you wouldn't try playing this with a GC controller), which is what I was hoping you would look up.

Also, majority of the 360 & PS3 gamers are only interested in killing simulators and shooters. You think its likely that they will pick up a japanese game with characters they don't even know? Doubtful... Thats why its ony on wii. Better sales. Which means better chance for a sequal. It shouldn't be ported if no one will buy it.

yeah there is jap games on 360 and ps3 with characters many people dont know about,even the ps2 has them, some even become edited by some regular persons with translation text etc,like namco x capcom, final fantasy ??? which was released exclusively in japan with new characters.
And with the ease of doing piracy in wii i doubt they expect a great sale

@WarRock97 They want it ported because this is a fighting game with good online potential, which is something the Wii unfortunately lacks, the online is simply god-awful. they want it ported because the fighting game community has moved to those consoles with SSF4 and Tekken and MvC2.
it makes perfect sense and it has NOTHING to do with guns or killing or good graphics.

Yeah, I don't get this mentality, especially when there's well over 30 decent games worth owning for the Wii that aren't even made by Nintendo. They have multiplayer, just not online, but that's what friends are for.
If you factor in the games made by Nintendo you get at least 50+, and that's actually a pretty decent good:bad ratio considering all the garbage that gets put on any system

Bonus points for voting for Spear Pillar in Brawl to crash the game without really doing anything. And Nintendo won't lower the price on a three year old game, that already has a sequal? I'll pass on that.

@WarRock97 No, it relies upon non gaming shit, and Nintendo hasn't lowered the price of ANY of their first party games. Mario Galaxy 2 is out, why is the first one still 50$? Hell, I saw Twilight Princess for nearly full price. This is inexcusable, especially when they simply choose to discontinue player's choie, whilst Sony AND Microsoft will sell high selling games(OK, only Microsoft sells over a million games) at 30$. Also, Brawl wasn't as good as Melee and Twilight Princess SUCKED.

I've always been a hardcore gamer, even if I am a girl I go for the serious fighting games. Street Fighter is one of my favorites and seeing this game brought me joy because FINALLY I can play as Chun li.
I'm 20, I bought the Wii only for SSBB because it was the only decent fighting game there is, but now that TvsC is coming why should you complain?

No this game will not be ported. This game was made for the Wii specifically. Even it's arcade cabinet was similar to Wii hardware.
CAPCOM would have to make the game again from the ground up if they wanted to port it, which is certainly not a good financial plan.

Although I share the same thought that TvC will not be ported to PS3/360, you can't really play the "the arcade cabinet was based on Wii hardware, so it is Wii only" card. The Tekken 6 cabinets are based on PS3 hardware, and look what happened, it got ported to the 360.

@NejixHinataFan I would agree with you on this if Wii online wasn't garbage. Too many people using wireless, a bad service to begin with. I don't even bother trying to play this game online anymore, because it lags 99% of the matches, and when I play SSF4/MvC2/anything else on PS3, it works fine.

@guitaristsbane I realized that too. TvsC is a great game, but the online is insanely awful! To the point I face so many spammers (you wouldn't believe) or that it lags 99% of the matches, it gets to be ridiculous and annoying. I still play online, but not as much. Sometimes I do get a decent fight with a good player and no lag. Despite that, I still love TvsC just that the wi-fi feature is bad.

Nope, TvC was made to have one character represent a title. CAPCOM avoided this to have 3 characters from one central title. Ryu=SF, Chun-Li=SFII, Alex=SFIII, Roll=MM, Megaman Volnutt=MML, Zero=MMX. Noone else from the SFIII title will appear besides Alex.

Yes, it does. Regardless of technical techniques or not, there's still competitive value. There's still the mind games and everything else. SF 3rd Strike had the "Parry" system which made it so competitive. They dropped it and went back to their roots in SF4. That's just as competitive as 3rd Strike now.

That's irrelevant. The point is TvC was already announced to be at Evo, even without a US release. And if you've played the game using Baroque, switch outs, Crush, you'd know how competitive it can be. Either way, it's in Evo. The end.
