I love this so much. I play for fun on pogo. The people on there are so serious and real arrogant....they wont say hi or anything and they dont give you a second game. One chick got mad because someone was using the dictionary (she was losing too and that may have been the real reason) I have to get a board but no one here plays LOL
play kenji, adam, carl, james, conrad, etc 1 minute per side scrabble (less is almost impossible) and unless you're a nsa player you're losing the series. hell i'll put myself there too for wager sakes.
don't know any of these names. never played them at isc. 1 minute per move? that's superslow. i am talking about an average of 7 seconds per move. like if you don't move in 7 seconds you lose the game. that kind of speed scrabble. unfortunately isc doesn't have the option to set the timer to 7 seconds per move. to me a bingo taking longer that 10 secs is way too long and it might be corrupt. no i am not a nsa player. the nsa is for slow players. what is your name at isc? it's not domino right?
quad screen suggestion. 2 computer terminals facing each other. 4 cameras. cameras 1 and 2 view from above the two players showing hands on keyboards. camera 3 showing player A's scrabble board and rack . camera 4 showing player B's scrabble board and rack . kill all nonscrabble sounds. no annotations. no jolty camera movements. just the game. nice try trying to bring scrabble out into the modern age.
It would still be live scrabble but rather than using a scrabble board turntable, two players would be facing each other and inputting their moves into two computers. That way, the program, like ISC's wordbiz, keeps track of the score without error and phonies are automatically rejected and there would be no upsidedown boards and no glares off the board. Manually laying down words is too slow. Typing is so much faster. That would be the TRUE speed scrabble. Resisting the future is futile. ;-)
i may be an idiot but this idiot, as far as i know, so far. is the greatest idiot to have ever played the game of speed scrabble. i am rarely beaten by opponents that are as fast as me because there are only 1 or two that are as fast as me and in set game of 10 i bet i would win 7 of those, against opponents that are as fast as me. i'd love to lose and be humiliated by fast opponents because at least it would mean that adrenaline rushes were triggered. why do you even say that i am an idiot?
what people? people that moves in less than 10 secs per move? i don't see them. names please. you? i've never played any domino names. this is at isc right? 99% of the people i play there are superslow.
At 3:10 they alluded to being at a Scrabble tournament in Vancouver, BC. I'm going to one there in the next couple of weeks.

Awesome...The scorer did a fantastic job too!
He missed ACTUATED with the E of ENTAILER though, for a few seconds thought he had seen it!

I noticed they're using the Sam Tiles, which are too wide to properly fit in the squares.

Sorry, but the nearest Scrabble club to where I live is in Victoria, over 200 km away.

I personally didn't like the YOU play....it seemed easy to punish especially since it opened trip word score

minute rounds for scrabbling on a computer would be a lot faster. no physical moving of tiles, no digging for tiles.
