(Most) Golden pups are hyper for about a year, then they start slowing down.

My Golden would bite and jump and try to wrestle you down, then after many months and long walks and tennis ball games she became calm as long as i took her for a, short swim or a long slow run everyday. If i didnt shed gnaw on my arm as punishment.

I absolutelly love the true conformity to the breed! So many goldens these days look skinny and display more unbridled energy than I'm looking for in a dog. I plan to get a golden in the next several years and will make sure that my dog's lineage is from good stock like this. I'm willing to pay a good bit to get a dog this nice. Hopefully I'll be half as successful in training my future dog.

aaaawwwwwww. how adorable, i wonder if chihuahua dogs have the same with the people who see them on the streets...I GUESS NOT!!, my neighbor have a chihuahua and i have a 6 years old golden retriever and the kids of the neighborhood love him, every time that they walk by in front of our hose, they pet him, even the same one that has a chihuahua..

Goldens are so cute and lovable! They're like big ol' goofballs! All they want is love and attention, they are so awesome! I miss my Golden of 16 years, she used to just rest her head on the corner of my bed and whine until I gave her hugs. :)

I prefer American-style Goldens, like these, over the English ones, but it seems most breeders in Europe like the English-style Goldens more; I can't see why as the American ones are so beautiful!

@jfkjrlover I too prefer the American-style over the European/English style Golden Retrievers, however I also much prefer our Canadian Goldens over the American Goldens. My bitch is a Canadian field bred goldie and I just love her structure, say compared to my (recently passed away) male, who was a mix of English and American bred goldies.

But Anyways, Golden Retrievers are always beautiful, no matter what lines they come from (:

@anttrap321 Yup! :) The canadian goldens tend to be more.. lean? while the american goldens compared to the canadian goldens tend to be more built and they also have more light coated coats in general while canadian goldens tend to be dark fawn or red most of the time.
