I'm confused what sled ya got there buddy. There is no mxzx 440 for 2004 according to kelly blue book. There are mxzx's for 550's and up unless they aren't listed or something?
@HATERADExrs800 oh ok good to know! :) Seen a few for sale here in Alberta, what'd you pay for yours/what would you sell it for? or consider a fair price for it? nice friggin sled anywho buddy.
@punkrules45 this is a race sled, its not available to consumers. you can only get one if you buy it used, they only sold/sell them through racing teams.
yeah, 91 is fine. sled is much cooler now...whats your email ill send you a pic. im not sure how much it was raced. but i never messed around racing it..
yup, the sled runs on 93 octane. It is not oil injected so you have too mix the fuel 40:1. I never added oil injection because i didnt really ride it too far, just around my house and some nearbye trails.
no i never rode a race sled. only drove my dads nitro and brothers cat 600. but im loking into the 440's hopefully buyin one soon. but i wAnt it more for trail riding. and some ditchbangin to
not to say most of them are halled as halled can be. complete piles of shit which sucks big time when they ask so much money for sleds that are 5 years old....
lol man it bits having to pay a bunch for such as pile of shit were i live. the cheapest u'd pay for that sled in the vid is 5800 maybe,(thats considering that its in good shape which it looks to be) and thats if it got not one mod!
$4000, thats just crazy for such a nice sled. i'd be willing to pay 4500 easy for this cause where i live, peolpe sell 2004 440s for like 6 some times 7 g's which really fucking sucks...
tonys ticonderoga sports, a local dealer. I had a few problems with them though so i dont really reccomend buying anything there. They told me the sled was trail converted (running on pump fuel) but it actually ran on race fuel. I had to spend a lot of money and time converting it
I think it is kind of fast for you and is your first sled and if so i think it is to much. They are a race sled after all i would say a 500 (i know it is a bigger motor but it is more of a trail sled). And yes there is a lot of maintenance needed with a 440 like you will need to keep an eye on your ring and if they go (they are a race sled so they are built light and well it isn't that strong) you will need to re build the motor but that can happen with any sled just a 440 will need it more.
uhhhh no you cant its just another way of turring it off.....maby if your at a high RPM and you just kill it then ya, but also the 440 racers dont have keys so you have to pull the tether or use the kill switch.
Must Be Awesome with the hood screens Yellow !! ! and those 440 are Mean i cant wait to see it run! lol..i have a MXZX-RS Same as yours but with a 800...Pull the Hell out of you !...y geared it like a 440 so...its VERY strong
how much could i grab one of these for say of craigslist? also whats your top speed on it and is it worth the money

is this a liquid? or a fan twin? and that rattling might just be the hooks on his skis, my 800 does that
Etrician55 1 year ago
@Etrician55
ALL MXZX ARE LIQUID COOLED. Late 90's MXZ 440 were fan cooled, but the 440 X's have always been liquid cooled.
netefrog 1 year ago
That rattle sound is the clutch. i had the same thing it will cost you about 200 dollars.
luciffer420 2 years ago
the vibration is probably from the air intake hitting the side panels. i have the same problem
anonymzs 2 years ago
sounds like only running on one side at low idle
crazydude329 2 years ago
sounds like piston slap

crazycustom91 2 years ago

KonaStinkyRid3R 2 years ago
yeah, 91 is fine. sled is much cooler now...whats your email ill send you a pic. im not sure how much it was raced. but i never messed around racing it..

crazycustom91 2 years ago

Razor61969 2 years ago
newer sportbike
crazycustom91 2 years ago
with the trail conversion kit is the sled still reliable and do u have to do anything extra to keep a 440.
KonaStinkyRid3R 2 years ago
yeah its very reliable, but right now its running on one cylinder. all season it ran great and was fast as hell.
crazycustom91 2 years ago
on how many octane do you run it??
02paintball01 2 years ago
i run 91 octane 40:1 gas/oil mix.
crazycustom91 2 years ago
not to say most of them are halled as halled can be. complete piles of shit which sucks big time when they ask so much money for sleds that are 5 years old....

idk where you are from but around here an 04 440 goes for about 3 and thats with some minor mods

im sorry for the the comment asking what kind of sled you rode man. i misunderstood what you said, i thought you were saying my sled was a pile.
crazycustom91 2 years ago
and what kind of sled do you have? have you ever even ridden a race chassis sled?
crazycustom91 2 years ago
$4000, thats just crazy for such a nice sled. i'd be willing to pay 4500 easy for this cause where i live, peolpe sell 2004 440s for like 6 some times 7 g's which really fucking sucks...
2StrokeSmokes 3 years ago
i will sell you the sled today for $3,800.
crazycustom91 2 years ago
how much did u pay for it?
kona65734 3 years ago
$4,000. i may be selling it if the price is right. it is now trail converted with about $500 in parts and accesories.
crazycustom91 3 years ago
sick where did u buy it?
kona65734 3 years ago
tonys ticonderoga sports, a local dealer. I had a few problems with them though so i dont really reccomend buying anything there. They told me the sled was trail converted (running on pump fuel) but it actually ran on race fuel. I had to spend a lot of money and time converting it
crazycustom91 3 years ago
what retards how fast do u think it goes?
kona65734 3 years ago
85, but race sleds dont have a really high top end. They just get you there faster than a lot of 500, 600, or 700 cc sleds
crazycustom91 3 years ago
sick:P 5stars
kona65734 3 years ago
one more question:P how much does it weigh about?
kona65734 3 years ago
about 400 pounds
crazycustom91 2 years ago
you should put a can on it

yeah these sleds are very reliable
it would be a great starter sled for a 15 year old but u might want to look into somethin a little bit bigger mayb a 600 or 500
is it the kids first sled???
Travisvermette 3 years ago
probable not this sled really any 440 is a good starter sled. Not too hard to drive and not too fast for the beginner rider.

crazycustom91 3 years ago

crazycustom91 3 years ago
