  • We just constructed a home movie theatre in our house :D

  • whats the music??

  • Geez those games look so weak. cool vid tho

  • i have a projector ceeling mounted above my head lol so i can watch films and lie in bed and have a big picture in front of me to problems if i plug wii in theres no sound as i have no speakers 2nd problem i cant stand up and play it that way so i might have to thick of another way lol

  • yeah you would smack yer head in the ceiling lol

  • what are you using as the sensor? or are you using the supplied one? I dont have my projector mounted to the ceiling and had been giving thought to getting a wii, but the majority of my setup is on the wall opposite of the screen instead of underneath (I should probly think of moving it all lol) have you tried the candle idea, does it receive just about as well? Is there any interference from the lamp bulb's light etc? Thanks!

  • My Wii is also at the back of the room. The sensor bar only needs power so I found a power supply where you can set the voltage and wired it to that. All you have to do it turn the power on to it when you want to use it.

  • aaah awesome! yeah I'v been lookin at those "wireless" ones that dont nd the usb connection, just a power outlet, how accurate is using a projector and sensor bar when it comes to arcade shooters etc? I think overall thats my biggest concern, just the idea of playing a shooter splashed on my wall gives me goosebumps ^_^

  • I Dont Know How To Move The Mouse :S

  • Is it possible to use is as a tv

  • yes you can

  • haha agreed!

  • how far away is your projector from the actual screen?

  • 13 foot from wall to wall, so about 12 foot from lens to screen

  • lucky you have a wii i only have a stupid 360

  • Yo, did you have to use the HD cables to connect to the projector, or just the usual red/yellow/white cables?

  • I used the component (red, green, blue + red, white) and saw a reasonable increase in picture quality over the composite (yellow + red, white)

  • do you hav to put the wii sensor bar above the projector screen?

  • No, it is under the screen on top of the center speaker. The wii is at the back of the room in that video and I modded the wii sensor bar to run off mains, you can google "wii sensor bar battery" or "wii sensor bar mains" to get guides.

  • what's the song and artist of the video

  • I googled the lyrics just for you and it's 'Shut Your Eyes' by Snow Patrol.

  • Shut Your Eyes by Snow Patrol. Just type the first line of lyrics into Google.

  • it's a snow patrol song. that;s all i know

  • looks great my friend - nice setup - i'll try it with my projector and screen sometime - but need a decent 16:9 screen not 4:3

  • hi,

what's the song and artist of the video?

  • how much was that screen

  • pretty cool, your the half bald one right?

  • Lol, if you are talking about the guy at 1:26, that is Paul. I am behind the camera.

  • oh lol ^^

  • thats what she said! Lol, kinda makes sence... :)

  • hi nice vid wat screen did u use im getting the panasonic a2000e and i want a screen that looks good in the day and night like yours

  • GreyWolfII

    Pros:

    - Can use when not pitch black (though you do need to keep the light down as much as possible)

    - Has great blacks

    Cons:

    - Can sometimes sparkle (contains glass beads)

    - Sends most of the light back at the projector, so best if you have a low down PJ and not a ceiling mounted one (or if you stand up :)

  • hi,

what's the song and artist of the video?

  • nice hey critter which one is you?? :D wanna thank you for casual collective a great site :D

  • Thank you very much, u reply very quickly =)

  • hello, does the wii have to be infront of you or is it just the sensor bar only? curious as im getting a projector myself from nec, model number MT1050. Thank you.

  • Just the bar, the wire is not very long, so I cut the end off and got a power converter and wired it into that so it runs of mains. You can run it of battery's (google "wii sensor bar battery") but mains is better.

  • hmm maybe thats what i am doing wrong, putting the wii bar on top of the screen and a bit too close to the actual screen!

  • Also in the wii settings you can tell it if the bar is above or below the screen, check it out also.

  • Nice, got the same kinda setup at home but i find when i am using the projector the wii controller isn't as accurate on the pointing and clicking, did u have any problems like that?

  • All seems fine here, I have the sensor bar under the screen (on top of the center speaker) so it is only 3 or 4 inches below the bottom of the image. You can see it's 2 infrared dots from 50 seconds into the video. I had to mains adapt it as the wii is at the back of the room with the projector + amp.

  • What kind of projector do you use in this video? I want to get a projector for my Wii but want something to compare it to first. Thanks!

  • Optoma HD70. it is a 720p DLP projector that is great value for money.

  • Great vid, dudes. Nevermind the stupid flamers.

The phrase that opens the video says it all: "wii is what projectors were made for"...

I had this great experience in my brothers home.

    It's absolutely great..

  • Well there were 4 of us, and 3 of us were in our 20's, is that old? :( Anyways, it's for those youtubers who are interested in how the wii preforms on a projector (in so much as you can stand between the projector and the screen and not cast a shadow)

  • 2 old men with nothing else to do in there lives but play wii and post it on youtube... I believe the term is 'creepy...'

  • why was he jacking off at 1:09 LOL

  • He is funny like that! :)

  • LOL NICE DDUDE
