Remember, Dear Patricianatheist, a number of strains of American protestantism VALUE ignorance, they glory in their lack of knowledge in the belief this demonstrates how strong their faith is -- and how their ignorance demonstrates how invincible faith is versus Science (yes, I know that last comment does not make sense, but you can hear it a LOT in Evangelical Churches & telecasts).
great video man. i'm glad people like you take Brock up on the particulars. i can't bring myself to do it, seeing as how i don't like to dignify his claims by apparently taking them seriously. still, it needs to be done, and you've made a great job of it here.
Nice one, PA. I'm afraid it's probably all for nothing however, as Brock has switched off the very part of his brain you're trying to communicate with - his common sense. That switch was flicked the moment a bible fell in his hands. You can see it in his eyes, lights on but nobody home. Good points made nonetheless.
Someone please destroy what I'm about to write, because I think that blind chicken actually found a grain... When Brock brings up the relationship between the employer and the employee then what he might be pointing at is modern "paid slavery". Fact is very few people can live a decent life without submitting to employment and are ultimately slaves in order to sustain their lives in a monetary system. Often doing a job they freely wouldn't.
I hope I'm wrong in assuming this is what he meant?
Though it is true that for many people it is difficult to have a decent life without employment. The differences between an unhappy employee and a slave are 1) Employees get paychecks, 2) Employees establish their lives outside of work, 3) Employees can quit their jobs, 4) Employees can look for other job opportunities outside of work, and 5) Bosses cannot legally kill employees.
Slavery still exists in America today, its just not blue collar workers who are slaves. Sweatshops have slaves.
Brock...to call him a putz is an insult to putzs' everywhere, he smuggly stares into the camera spouting his tirades all the while thinking that every word he speaks is the indisputable truth, this coming from a guy who thinks that PCS is a good christian...both of them give good, honest religious people everywhere a bad name.
But I think it's also good to have them around to point out to others how such blind faith can be so mindnumbly dangerous to progress & humanity.
very good rebuttal, one minor suggestion: maybe it would be better to play some parts of his video you are referring to? it would make possible to watch your (and understand) video without watching some crap prior to that.
You don't need evolution/science or any outside idea or philosophy to know the bible is a horrible shit tale. The bible can stand alone as a bad idea and ridiculous. I think this is how we should handle religion and not worry about defending our non-belief. Attack their belief and unholy book. It is their problem on what to fill the void with..........
It is a religious argument that if you remove the belief in a deity there will be a void. There was a void for me that lasted about 30 seconds....wha' no God?....wait ......that means no devil or demons.
OK maybe it only lasted about 10 seconds. My point was that is their void to worry about.
Nice video, thanks for posting!

This is worth five stars and a subscription. Good response to TAA's lies and distortions.

Let's not forget 1st Timothy that no woman should ever teach a man, nor should she ask questions while learning.

Noticed something interesting....
Reading Exodus 21:21....
Most versions are quite similar to the King James versions
21Notwithstanding, if he continue a day or two, he shall not be punished: for he is his money.
A few, including the NIV, have a slightly different translation to the point where it has a different meaning
21 but he is not to be punished if the slave gets up after a day or two, since the slave is his property
Does anybody know which version is more accurate?

Well said. Though I doubt it is going to affect Brock whatsoever.

Nothing affects Brock. Our current technology is not advanced enough to generate the energy required to penetrate his nigh infinitely thick skull.

Loved the "Fin" sign. Brock probably won't ever bother to learn what it means. Hint, the "end".

Compassion indeed is not conditional. You do good for it's own sake, or it is not in fact 'good' at all.
