Tech was not even in the discussion. Was it unfair to them? Yes, b/c they had the same record. But they lost too late in the season, by too much, and on primtime for them to be in the discussion. Plus they're not the "big name" school like TX, OU. After Tech lost, all the conversation was about who will jump the other: TX or OU. Not once did I hear Tech mentioned. So that's 2 teams as far as I can count.
