I really like Tom Cruise on this movie. to me this movie kinda represents my fear of changes,

from the feudal to industrialization..

such a shame this movie was filmed on New Zealand, there's just not enough plains on Japan itself.

Sadly no :[ such is the proof that changes can cause great effect. Changes killed most if not everything I loved about tradition and traditional japan at the cost of being successful in technology. I'd be happy to go back in time where there are open meadows and a simpler lifestyle ruled by the honor code - and if I die in that time I'll consider it a fulfillment.

@andiniemar - It was filmed in NZ - I just looked it up on Wikipedia - dylancrash was right. This is a haunting piece and surely very beautiful. How sad that we have to have terrible events to record some of our best-ever music.

i doubt there is a single person who haddend had emotions while watching the final battle and the final scene where tom cruise gazes into taka's eyes just before the credits. great movie, great cast. worthy of the same awards as lord of the rings

I really loved this movie. Tom did a really great job with the character. This role was nice and quite a change from his Top Gun and Coctail days. The score is magical. Hummm. I should really own it.

this song is soooo beautiful...sometimes if I feel sad I hear this masterpiece just to overcome my bad feelings and find a place of piece inside me...

I don´t know how to explain...It´s already a part of my soul.....

Never heard a soundtrack that expresses a movie-theme as good as this song does it...

A man,nowhere really feels at home, searches his own destiny and finally finds his place to be....
