Yes, finally some little bit of justice. When she wins her appeal, Casey will be able to sue the State of Florida for everything she had to go through. I can not believe Casey had to spend 3 years locked up. Well at least it's over, and she will be set for life money wise.
she can run but she can't hide.justice will be serve in anyways for sure...karma will follow her wherever she go....she will never get the life she wanted.......hell is waiting for her!!!!!!!!
@Hans021220 The day is scheduled for the 17th, however, we will never know the time. I will get an email at some point when she is released from Orange County Jail.
If it was acidental wtf was there duct tape, and a gatorade bottle with a syringe full of chloroform..n why did she search for it on the compturr.what do u think sierra??
It struck me today when I was looking at coverage of this trial. There really isn't an advocate for the victim. Usually there is a family member that speaks for the victim. Where were other relatives of this child. The Anthony's have relatives who believe Casey was guilty. This poor baby did not have anyone on her side. That is the outrage people are expressing. Every family member lied! I guess they needed to connect the dots better for this jury. Jury asked where did this happen..cell records
@hollytoo I really think JP could have polled the jury right after the opening statements and got the same verdict out of the jurors, the rest of the trial was a waste of the money alloted for his jurisdiction which JP so treasures.
@gigicats6 I really agree with you and I think the jury thought opening statements were true. They are not evidence and it was just too easy to confuse them.
@hollytoo I heard Casey is supposed to be going to Texas, I sure hope that's true! One false move, which is only a matter of time with her, and she will never get out of jail down there!
@pekeelvr If you happen to see a breakdown online anywhere, would you kindly post it please.
There is a lot of confusion because out of the 1,043 days in jail, 410 of those days she received credit to use against her check fraud charges. 1,043 days - 410 credit for check fraud = 633 days. 1,460 days minus 633 days served = 827 days left. Beth Karas had estimated 240 days for good behaviour 837 days - 240 days = 587 days. So something is odd. as even 417 is a lot of time for gb.
Don't come to Houston, Casey, you are definitely NOT WANTED here. AND, Tim Miller of Equisearch is in Houston --- SO THINK ABOUT IT. He's already indicated that he is considering SUING Casey and her family for using their services to look for a missing "Caylee" when Casey (ie, Baez) says NOW that the child was accidentally killed and they knew it at the time but failed to tell anyone. Fraud anyone?
Let's see how many other kids she kills before she's done. I am not paying one penney to see anything about her again and I will turn the channel away from anything having to do with her or the rest of her sad family.
Even though the jury did not hear it, people should not forget Baez brought in two jail officers who said she was a model prisoner, so she should have gotten time off for that. She needs these extra few days in jail anyway to think up new lies she plans on telling people.
Just review the biographies of the jurors and you'll understand why this happened. No IQ's above body temperature. This jury was a classic example of the dumbing down of America.
@hollytoo Makes me sick to hear all of them over and over say they didn't know HOW she died. Then all of them use the "Accident" defense. They knew she killed her. How? Based on the flippin' evidence! It's not a reasonable doubt if the evidence convinced them she killed Caylee. They all said they think she killed her. All of them. IF they believe she killed Caylee how do they know that?
Release date: July 2011. Arrested on new charges date...? but you KNOW it will happen. This chick has just started her revolving door in and out of jail.
@BAA452 A lot of the poor people are in jail because of piss poor council. They accept a court appointed attorney, or defend themselves. You can't even imagine how much that hurts to their chances for a fair trial. Being able to afford your own lawyer alone can mean the difference between jail and probation for most lower crimes. Most people in jail don't have jury trials. Just the judge. They get a lawyer with 20 cases a day that never even talks to them until they r in front of the judge.
@hollytoo I don't knwo what you can do about it to prevent idiocy tho. A test? Even then it will ahve to be so low level that a 5 year old could pass it. Then all sorts of lawsuits would arise about discrimination based on the test being racist, gender specific, and any other sort. Tons of cases would get mistrials for having biased juries based on the selection process.
Standards for getting out of jury duty should be much higher is all I can think of. I have gotten out before with no hassle
@Reip187@hollytoo The answer is using commone sense. When JP saw the caliber of people that were being seated, it was his responsibility to mix up the jury pool, choose more people who had not had trouble with the law themselves, or who had better educations, or who would not leave all judging up to God. He was in too much of a hurry to seat a jury to save money for his jurisdiction. That jury was not a fair representation of people across the population, and it should have been.
@Reip187@hollytoo I don't believe this is the kind of jury that would have been seated if the case was a big fraud case, someone running a pyramid scheme who swindled millions out of people. When it comes to money, they would have made sure a good jury was seated. A murder trial re the murder of a little girl isn't as important as money, so there were no standards for the jurors selected. The DT WANTED jurors like these, half of them had been in trouble with the law at one time.
@hollytoo WORD! I'm certain I heard the alternate juror say in an interview w/ WFTV something like, "Well.. we didn't think that"....... We??? I'm on the case trying to find the clip.
@hollytoo they shouoldn't have gone outside her own county to get a jury of HER "peers." These people didn't know as much about the case as the people in her own county. JP could have asked the same questions of people from where she lived, HER peers: "have you seen this case in the news, and can you overlook that and base your decision only on what you hear in this court room." I'm sure they would have come up with more intelligent people, who could be fair. This was NOT fair!
They had the stupist people in America on that jury. I'm done with listening to any of this anymore, it's all BS. America is a joke around the world again. Judge Perry should be ashamed of the juror's he seated, he was in too much of a hurry to save money. Too many of these juror's have been in trouble with the law themselves, of course they're going to side with a defendant. This was a total travesty, thanks Judge Perry!
My heart is broken, I feel sadness for Caylee as do many others. But all her parents have to say when Casey walks out is how pretty her hair looks. Incredible and unreal.
I can't believe that she's free to live a "bella vita". This is just wrong!
@mrs5675 Speaking of hair...Did you see Cindy Anthony enter the courtroom? She looked giddy and bounced in with a little whip of her hair.(usually reserved for people with longer hair) This affect is so out of place for grandparents in this situation. I know they are happy she didn't get the death penalty, but this awful day should not be a happy one. Strangest family I have ever seen. I think they played up the dysfunctional aspect to help Casey. Still they are beyond what is rational.
@frantahouska It's all in the numbers of time served, credits for this and that ... We have to wait to see if some of the time served that she received On Jan 25, 2010 carried over into Jan 26, 2010 to July 7, 2011. This maybe what happened because on Jan 25, 2010, she received more credit then actually was need for the charges at that time.

1,043 from 1,460 days is a difference of 417 days. This means she was given credit for good behavior as standard in most jail sentences for parolees.
