Honestly, what's probably one of the first names to pop into your head when you think "video game consoles" is probably also one of the coolest names for a system IMO, the Sega Genesis. Ultra 64, Dolphin, and Revolution were all pretty cool too (while I liked the name GameCube too, what's with Nintendo and renaming their awesome prototype names to something worse?) . My favorite console name overall has to be Vectrex though.

i was looking so much forward to that console, played cruisin usa in arcades and just by looking at ultra 64 logo, i was just so amazed, thrilled and stoked for the future back then. all the pixels where to vanish and the graphics that where to come where just unimaginable!

when it got the name change i got a little dissapointed, but not much, cus mario 64, waverace, goldeneye, pilotwings and all that good stuff where just awesome! good times!

My favorite system was the first Playstation. I played that thing almost everyday and the constant games I played was "Legend of Mana" and "Final Fantasy IX". hmm.. My favorite console name "when i was a kid" was the 3DO , only because i remember thinking how bad ass it was that it was 3d graphics (FMV and lame polygon's to be accurate now lol) but at the time, I saw it set up as a display in stores and it was a monster.
