  • What a gutsy and romantic voice, They don´t do music like this anymore. Thanks for sharing!

  • fortunate enough to see him sing on TV as well as Arthur Prysock...really miss this kind of elegance in men.

  • you want to listen to the Ray Conniff orc playing this...its wonderful and so is this i just love it...

  • I have been listening to different singer's version of this song all day. I may be on overload, but this is just about the most beautiful thing I have ever heard. It makes me tingle.

  • Beautiful......

  • One of a KIND...

  • Did Billy study to be an opera singer as a tenor??

  • @DrGolf4 This man is not a tenor.

  • he looks kinda like Bob Ross in this picture..

this is music for people with ears (to hear) and eyes (to see).

  • All the greats who we grew up with are slowly disappearing, but we have their music! Andy Williams, Perry Como, Steve Lawrence, Jerry Vale, Vikki Carr, Connie Francis, Shirley Bassey, Nat King Cole and on and on. But have you ever considered the lush background music and vocals that supported these artists. This has also disappeared from today's music. Thanks for the memories. Loved the comment about the father who took the girl by the hand and danced with her.

  • @milkleg - so true about those great charts and the arrangers. Now its all done in a soundproof box with autotune and fake add-ons. So poor are the artists and singers of today they all require auto-tune to help them stay on key. There are not more Gordon Jenkins' or Don Costa's. But there IS John Legend - he certainly is reaching for those heights and does give one hope against the hideous background of the so called 'talent' of 'gaga' - the copycat alien freak

  • wow, these songs by Mr B take me back to 1946,growing up in Chicago I remember Billy's orchestra playing the Savoy Ballroom at 47th and South Parkway(now King Dr)

  • There are no voices like this any more....they really put you way back and bring tears to your eyes....1955 again.

  • Style!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!and more Style!

  • Wow, what a memory...when this song was playing...my father took me by the hands...asked me to dance....held me in his embrace...he sang to me, as we glided across the living room, I giggled with excitement...he took me to heaven! It was the most beautiful and graceful dance ever encountered...in my life! I miss and love you daddy. Thank You!....RIP Edward Lee Franklin, 9/4/33-4/16/98.
