  • Psst! You can't do this with with San Francisco, especially not to the tune of Gershwin who was Brooklyn born and bred.

You do have a wonderful city, though.

  • Beautifully done!

  • Did you guys now that "Take The Money and Run" the real first film entirely written and directed by Mr. Allan Stewart Könisberg - or Woody Allen, 'juste par les amis' - was completely shooted during 1967 in San Francisco..?

  • @boggierollertopnotch - thx for the knowledge, did not know that. Very cool.

  • The title for America's 2nd city is split between L.A., Chicago, D.C. and so on.

BUT if L.A. did not existed, then San Francisco would look much better and in many people's minds it would definitely be this country's 2nd city.

  • One problem - you left out the parade of crazies on Market St at the BART stop :)

  • What a great idea! Well done!!

  • this is seriously good!

  • very clever and humorous, the bay area rocks. Gershwin should have traveled to the west side more often.

  • Certainly a nice birthday gift but for me it doesn’t work. I see the spanish cultural influence in so many pictures, the complete lack of the neurotic abyss of New York City, and above all: Mr. Königsberg made an explosive allusion with the Manhattan opening which wasn’t understood in 1979. I think he knew.

  • This is absolutely BRILLIANT!!!! I totally love it. Thanks.

  • Great job and homage to the movie and San Fran! What an incredible birthday present!

  • this is aweeeesom! fro a lover of boh, manhattan and sf!

  • Splendid!

  • extraordinary!

  • Absolutely fantastic! Almost as moving and exilerating as Allen's original, especially knowing it's 'real life'! Shot choices are perfect - it feels timeless. Cudos!

  • Great!

  • nicely done. bravo!

  • This is brilliant! The voice/over is spot on. Just writing an essay about Woody Allen-I might mention this!

  • Thanks! Would love to see the essay as I'm a huge fan... clearly.

  • Wow, this is great. Maybe you should try directing.

  • Thx tons. It was really fun putting it together.

  • OMG....Amazing!

  • this baby is a pearl. i think woody himself would get a kick outta this as he chose san fran for the setting in his 1972 play it again sam. bravo.

  • Fabulous. Take THAT, Manhattan! Beautiful job.

  • what a beautiful job.

  • One of en best birthday gifts in the history of birthday gifts.

  • It's impressive.
