Russia is very mild version of USSR(national anthem and all). Although you are entitled to your opinion, we must not forget that for better or for worse, Russia and its people have been around for about a thousand years and more whereas America has only existed for 225 plus which makes it still a baby and there is surely alot more history to be written. My point precisely, US does not have high moral ground it pretends to have. Putin is horrible person, but US will have to deal with it. About FSB torture it is very very comparable to what US is doing - the only difference is US ships people to Egypt ,Pakistan etc to torture, FSB does it itself. Torture in Pakistan might be worse than FSB - difficult to compare. Again Putin is horrible, but US is doing almost the same. Neither country is exactly a model for human rights.
