Anyone who owns any of these please shoot me a message ... which should i go with Everlast SafeMax $120, Title Classic Face Protector $50, Pro-Mex Face Saver - $100, Fighting Sports Contact $130, or Fight Gear Deluxe Face Saver $50. I have a smaller head, 5'9 150lbs, and looking for something I can go to war in but still go to the office the next day w/o a broken nose or blackeye.
Yo wuzup man, I was wondering how exactly would you know what size of head gear should you wear, I have a big head but the regular large from academy doesn't fit me.
Which headgear is lighter? This or Winning FG5000...Also, have you tried the Twins facesaver or the Fighting Sport Facebar. I know the Fighting Sport one is a cheaper version of Winning, but I wonder how far apart it is in terms of function
I have the fight gear face saver it's pretty good it covers the nose very well and you can see very well with it on it was 89 bucks. There's two thing I don't like about the head gear it's super hard not soft at all so when you get hit you really feel it the second thing I don't like is if you get with a straight punch the face bar hits your face no matter how you put the headgear on
I found out from their websites that both the Twins and Reyes have a steel face bar. However, the new Fight Gear Deluxe Face Saver seems to be very similar to the Everlast reviewed above, and is selling for $30 cheaper. I may check it out.
this headgear is worth too buy!!! it needs some frequent use to get seasoned too feel comfortable though... Visibility is better then winning fg5000, protection it covers more of the mouth area than winning but winning takes the shots better and u feel more comfortable taking shot from the winning than everlast.
I just got this headgear and It's much lighter than my double-a mexican style headgear.
Rate this gear is right. It really doesn't have very much protection on the temple area and it feels tight around the temple and too wide around my face to a point that it jiggles. I'm concerned that it will always need adjustment after being hit but I'll see tomorrow when I try it out.
@hallmonitor98 You can actually bend the facebar and I think I bent it too much to aleviate the tightness around the temple area. 1st time I used it, the headgear needed some adjustment after being hit so I squeezed the headgear to make it narrower again and It fits a little tight, but at least it wont move when getting hit. Regarding the positioning of the facebar, it is low. I haven't felt any shots in my nose area yet, but I have felt the facebar pushed in to my mouth area.
@eeEErRaY HOLY SHIT i did the the exact same thing with my fg5000 rescently! i got scared as hell when i bent it but it turns out that i made it fit even better due to my sort of smaller head. i got large because i was scared that the medium won't fit me. i'm 15 years old and short as hell! the large fit well already but that bend made it feel even more fitting for my head. LOL, SCORE! i love my fg5000. i was going to get this but since it was my birth day i wanted to save money for winning.
@hallmonitor98 Overall, I'm keeping it. I've already blackened out the new douchey everlast "E" logo and ripped out the everlast patch in the front of the headgear. I'm loving the small profile and the lightness of it. It's kind of expensive. If it was $30-$40 cheaper this would be perfect.
Winning fg5000 is a but lighter then the everlast safe max headgear. Everlast did a great job with this one, I just wish it was a bit more padding on the temple areas
verdict is that winning fg5000 is better i assume? you gotta show a side by side comparison as well!! great review tho ive wanted to see this one for a while.

Yes, will you be reviewing the Twins and Reyes Facesaver headgear any time soon? That'd be great.
I've heard some good stuff about this Fighting facesaver as well, but that it's large.
