actually many companies are donating and attaching themselves to various foundations. Some do it for the tax break and most because it's the right thing to do. Celebrity giveways are as you said the best way to advertise and get press feedback to use as promotional material and in media kits...ps, I love t cups dogs also.

It always amazes me that the celebrities (that are already rich) get such expensive hand outs at these lounges. The "normal" people who have to struggle
& deal with the brunt of economic fall out do not get any breaks like this. I know that the companies think that it is free advertising, it would make us "normal" people feel like they are giving back by donating to a charity or auctioning off some sample swag bags for a charity.
