Bank of America, Chase, Citigroup, and Capital One, all too-big-to-fail institutions, all bailed out for billions in 2008, issue over two-thirds of the credit cards used in the U.S. While they each benefited from a bailout when misfortune or poor judgment befell THEM, none of their credit card holders can hope for the same.
Was the pain of bankruptcy worse than the constant harassment from your creditors, I don't think so. Also you forgot to say that a debt settlement and a bankruptcy are viewed the same on your credit report. It not supossed to be a picnic, but you did take the relief, right?
What the?? You went to a restaurant straight after filing a bankruptcy?? Well........I dont know about you, but I would have made my own dinner to save what I can.
Don't trust this guy. He has web site that promotes free service. But nothing is free once you get sucked in. My finances are now 1000% worse. Trust me! Save your self the stress and don't trust this crook!

Like, bankruptcies happen. They can happen to anybody. You could just be going down the street minding your own business and then out of the blue - Bankruptcy! So sad, babes!
I don't want to be disrespectful to this couple as I was unable to find their "whole story"
I did not hear either of them talking about jobs they took to assist in paying in their debts even though they stated they were staying with their parents. I was taught was you "owe, you owe". They appear healthy but again, I don't know their story. I think they should have been working three jobs apeice to pay their bills. I have done it. Work during the day, take a night job, then a weekend job.

@October31st1517 The credit card companies GAMBLE on people, charging high interest rates and fees and they make a handsome profit, but sometimes they lose on their bets and people claim bankruptcy. That's the nature of doing business in lending. If people couldn't discharge their debt, lending would be nearly interest free or at federal interest rates and lending companies wouldn't exist.
@October31st1517 Buddy, you are so right, My sister in law moved all their assets in her name. They didn't want their modular home anymore so it got repo, They filed for Bankruptcy.. After unemployment checks ran out, brother in law went was working oil fields off shore in Saudia Arabia $100,000.00 tax free/yr for three months on, three months off. He helped build $350,000.00 dollar dream home, rack up free airline miles to travel everywhere., his three months off. I do hold resentment.
"Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors" (Matthew 6:12)
Or this one:
""At the end of every seven years you shall grant a release of debts. And this is the form of the release: Every creditor who has lent anything to his neighbor shall release it; he shall not require it of his neighbor or his brother, because it is called the Lord's release" (Deuteronomy 15:1-2)
@October31st1517 You wrote "the wicked borrows but does not pay back".. What if someone borrows and then becomes gravely ill? What if they lose their ability to pay? Should we through sick people in prison again? you sound like a damn fanatic. Open your eyes. Banks are bilking the absolute shit out of people and you quote Bible verses? Please.. Give me a break. You must be a nutjob republikkklan.
@October31st1517 Its not stealing when you get sick or disabled or lose your job and simply can't pay. There is a reason the United States Outlawed Debtors prisons. Some of these companies could care less if you have to choose between feeding your family or paying them. They will be brutal against you. They are in business. Business carries risks. They also get TAX BREAKS from the U.S. Government at the end of the year to help compensate for thier losses.
@October31st1517 I wouldn't cry too much for these multi billion dollar companies while they are taking American's money while shipping all the jobs Overseas just because they can further line their pockets. These big companies are souless creatures and while we are talking about Bankruptcy nobody beats actual corporations at the Bankruptcy game.. Companies file bankruptcy ALL THE TIME so why shouldnt the average joe?? Its not stealing.. These folks mean well but shit happens and again..
@October31st1517 And again...Business carries risks. Companies know the game. The greater the risk the greater the reward. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. No one should lose the shirt off thier back if they fall on hard times. How is losing ones job stealing?? Please tell me. Go ahead with your pride. While you toss and turn at night to pay back these greedy sadistic corporate bastards. I will sleep pretty knowing I did all I could but at the end of the day they have to cut thier loss
@October31st1517 I won't go crazy or lose my health because I fall on hard times and can't pay back debt. My health and my family comes first and call it what you may but business is a gamble.
miss management of money. I hope they learnt from thier mistakes. Life happends if you dont have a safty net you end up like these poor saps.

@407buddy So you're saying we shouldn't pay anything back that we borrowed?

@October31st1517 Why don't you try THIS Bible verse instead:
"Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors" (Matthew 6:12)
Or this one:
