the Zapatistas are just a bunch of communist TERRORISTS! the mexican government should have crushed them when they had the chance. as for the IWW, they were just fake anarchists who wanted to create a monopoly on the sale of labor. if you get rid of the state, then we will have true capitalism (not the kind of corporatism we have now.)
While I agree with you that these left-anarchists are problematic for reasons of their anti-market leanings, they are not 'communists' in the Stalinist sense, the Zapatistas do have an effective counter-state community. Just because they're violent or do bad things isn't the same as being Statist. Feudal europe had no state, and could be called anarchy, but it was certainly not anarcho-capitalist (though closer than you might think in some ways).
I love it when anarchists get involved in labour movements, and encourage others to do so. We need to get back to the time when anarchists were dynamic even in the big unions. The fact he's speaking in New York recalls Emma Goldman, one of the greatest trade unionists and one of the most important anarchist theorists ever.
This...guy...RUUUUUULED in the interview he did for the Unwelcome Guests Collective. I KNEW I recognized that voice! Anyone interested in this kind of work should check out UnwelcomeGuestsDOTcom.
His segment can be found in the show archive: #452 Capitalism and It's Discontents continued. He looks way younger than he sounds. I thought this guy was at least in his 60's.
For some reason, when I glanced at the title of this video, seeing the word "Wobblies" and then a word starting with a Z made me misread it as "Zombies."

@RJMooreII No, feudalism is called feudalism and not anarchy for a reason. Feudalism is practically hierarchal by definition.

I just assumed that because you asked the question, you believed that he was a Crimethinc-er. Apologies.
I've briefly skimmed through the essay, but I'll give it a thorough read-over. Thanks
