  • "Hmm...cloth"

    LMAO seriously, Bert?

  • Looks like that brain tumor was already growing.

  • Those where the good old days when D-List celebrities went on game shows. These days they just get followed by cameras and act like assholes.

  • @skippydmb

    Betty White? D-List Celebrity?

  • He Literally threw the toaster. Funniest thing ever

  • Poor bert Conroy you know durin Tapin he felt like poo he took it well he was a great MC host died to young also

  • Oh, and you should've included the 'Vicky and Dicky' one, as well as 'Testimony'. X3

  • 3:13, Betty's look is classic, and Howard Morton saying "why did you do that?" sounds like a father admonishing a naughty child, LOL.

  • 3:10 "Hmm, cloth"

He said that so nonchalantly. X3

  • WHY MUST THE GREATEST HOSTS DIE YUNGGGGGGGGG?????????????

  • Bert was a great host and died way too young!!

  • @ 1:57 was someone whispering "say asner"?

  • @nyg1781

I heard it! Whoa....creepy. Maybe Ed was sitting nearby. :)

  • @nyg1781 Yeah, I think so!

  • This version of Password is practically designed to cause this kind of screwup. As soon as you start bantering about "a good clue would have been..." you know what's going to happen next.

  • I wish GSN would return pass shows again when they did when came on ....Now its info stuff n nothin......bring back Joker wilds Gambit Gong show...you don't say..Press you luck and Old Lets make a deal too!

  • @MrLehnerd These days, I wish GSN would just GO AWAY!

  • Looks like Convy's brain tumor was already cooking.

  • this is pretty darn hillarious

  • 6:08 Gene: You just gave away the second puzzle!!

  • Bert only did what everybody wanted to do to that toaster, throw it out. He followed the directions properly! :P

  • GSN used to show the Richard Dawson era of Family Feud...Hollywood Squares(H2), Weakest Link, Password Plus with host Allen Ludden....please no more Deal or No Deal...we've seen the million dollar winners, keep Lingo I enjoy playing that while I watch.

  • Love the magic toaster incident. LOL

  • 5:07: the sound of EPIC FAIL

  • @jhecht424 agreed, you know you screwed up something when EVERY sound effect goes off at once! LOL

  • He was only 58 when he died.

  • i love that loud "THUD" as the magic toaster his the stage

  • Man I love Super Password!!! GSN should do a blooper marathon! Show the full episodes of Super Password, Family Feud (DAWSON AND COMBS VERSION ONLY!), The Newlywed Game (EUBANKS VERSION ONLY!), and of course, the ever so awesome Match Game! Burt Convy was always one of my favorite Game show hosts and it sucked that he had to die so young...

  • The crapper/cropper incident sort of reminded me of one moment that happened to me. When my mom was asking our friend David Levy about what to wear to dinner, I thought she said crap pants instead of crop pants.

  • is he alive?

  • @seenukarthi no sadly Bert passed away several years ago during a taping of Win Lose or Draw. He had a brain tumor

  • @CoreyD1086 Actually, Bert started feeling ill in April 1990, just after taping a pilot episode or two of ABC's revival of "Match Game" that he was to have hosted. Ross Shafer landed the hosting job, which lasted from July 16, 1990 to July 12, 1991. Bert died just three days after that show's finale.

  • I worked on this show as a Prize Coordinator. What a beautiful man Bert was...truly from the heart.

  • @summyb Seemed like he must have been a pretty good guy to work with. Did you work on any other shows?

  • @summyb how many total times did bert blow the puzzle?

  • Special effect idea...

Shake the video at the point you hear the thud from the Toaster hittin' the carpet.

  • 3:09 bert: hmmm cloth... y did u do that?

  • Did the "Oysters" incident happen before the "Potato Head" incident, or after? If "Oysters" happened after "Potato Head", that would explain the female celebrity (BTW, who is she?) saying "You did it? Again? You know, this is really disgusting" in the "Oysters" incident.

  • @deemo77a the female celebrity in those clips is Patty-Duke

  • Before Gene started whispering the words to the viewers, I would do so trying to imitate him.

  • Don't you think Gene's whispering voice sounds different from his regular voice?

  • For flush, after "cards", I would have said "suited".

  • He is a mess!

  • OMG, Nathan Cook cracking up at 8:16.... XD

  • @excuseyou77 He looked like he was enjoying himself in BOTH the clips...

  • 3:13 - The Betty White Death Stare

  • "I broke the toaster"

  • It often happens that because the passwords relate to the solution to the puzzle, clues to the various passwords end up being the solution to the puzzle. I think I recall seeing an episode of Password Plus or Super Password where the puzzle was "Maryland" and that came up as a clue. But it's OK as long as the host doesn't say it. Allen Ludden would never do that! :-)

  • @jeopardy60611 Allen Ludden actually did it once search for Allen Ludden has a Bert Convy moment and you will see what I mean

  • What would have been more hilarious is NBC (or Bert) could have given both contestants $100 or $200 every time he goofed, obviously outside of the main game score. It's too bad that we will most likely never see another host like Bert.

  • omg he was the best!!!

  • Bert gets the ultimate in sound effects at 5:06 -- LOL!!

  • you need to switch positions with the ones with Patty Duke and the black guy celebrity the second one should be first and the first one should be second

  • "The one that you came a crapper on... uh, cropper on..."

  • "Bert blew it!"

  • "Eva--" lol

  • I wish GSN still showed this instead of countless hours of Deal or No Deal and Family Feud

  • @ochsj1971 That is all versions of "Family Feud" except the Richard Dawson version!

  • @ochsj1971 and not even the OLD family feud. they think dewey and whatever that other guy's name was is old.

  • I love Bert Convy, so thanks for sharing this. But the word is "compilation," not "complication."

  • what would have happened had either the celebrity or contestant had used the answer to the puzzle as a clue?

  • @Jamescs007 They would continue as long as the host didn't say it. There was one case where the celebrity, I forget who though, tried to guess the puzzle twice for some reason. I'm guessing he was kidding for his second guess, but it turned out his second guess was the answer to the puzzle.

  • What does 'Rockefeller' have to do with oysters?

  • @tvtimetravel there is oysters rockefeller is a food dish made with oysters

  • LOL at Patty Duke bitching Bert out...

"You know... this is really disgusting..." x-D

  • Bert's reactions at 8:17 and 9:56 never cease to crack me up...thanks for putting his best bloopers into one clip!
