Installing MAMP on Mac OSX - with Debugging Tips

Got the same as the dude below. I did install, but I cannot even reach the default homepage or "localhost" from my browser.

When I download it the file is a zip not a dmg. When I go to install it won't install without MAMP Pro as well. Any ideas?

I installed them already and they work fine, but when I wrote a php simple file with the TextWrangeler and stored it in the htdocs, but when I open it by the browser it does not work instead of that it start to be installed on my computer????????

what should I do for that???

@nawaryoussef1 Nancy sorry for the delayed response did you figure this out. you need to open the browser and type in localhost that is the root. Any questions let me know.
