What we don't get is the imperative that religion stay out of government, and yet Islam is exactly that - a complete system which is easily as political as it is religious. Where is there a state with an Islamic majority which is unaffected by the supremacy of Islam? Turkey attempted it but as we know it's slipped back under the pressure of Islam to determine government policy. There is a reason why the Islamic-majority countries don't have freedom as recognized by the Western systems.
