Shock and awe, indeed. Rev. John and I were talking about the police in Mpls/STP after they arrested Amy Goodman. He was shocked to learn how violent they have been historically. It looked like you had one shot (around 2:56) of a cop pepper spraying someone with a T-Shirt that said "I am media" on the back-it almost could have been Amy G's producer who was pepper sprayed, arrested, & given a bloody nose. Was it? Anyway, nice job. I hope we never have to experience anything like this again.
I wish I had been there. If your Grandmother was around, she would have been and probably would have been arrested for speaking her mind. For that matter, I probably would have also.
That is really what it was like to be there,I am not kidding. I was just thinking about when I was a kid, video's like this were always from a different country,NOT the United States. I am too young to remember protests from the 60s,but after living through RNC St.Paul 2008,I get a feeling as to how it might have been. Still, with the last eight years of the Bush presidency in mind,I am surprised at how few people came to fill their duties as citizens. Truly there should have been millions there.
i love the police when they fight republicans :)
fuck the RNC
