Typically you would break the chair down, bring the frame over your lap and place wheels and frame on the pass frt seat or the passenger rear seat. Alternatively you could use a Chairtopper to store the chair above the roof.
my friends car has a extending arm he gets in the car like this video then flicks a switch and the tail gate opens and a arm swings around extends out and locks the none folding chairs axle picks it up and puts in in the back of his wagon and them closes the tail gate unloads the chair the same way fully automatic 15k fitted
If the driver can't use his legs to push the pedals for eccelerating and braking, then the pedals would have been modified into hand controls, so he can drive it that way. Easy peasy !!! lol. I have hand controls in my car, which is not hard to set up.
HOw do I get this device. i really would like to get a convertible car but tried to get in just a coupe and it was really hard so I figured a convertible was out of the picture.
I don't get this. I have a T6-T7 spinal cord injury and I have no problem getting into a car. The problem I am having is getting my chair into the car. My last 3 cars; a '95 Thunderbird, a '72 Monte Carlo and a '71 Monte Carlo SS I always folded my chair (I use folding chairs) and slid it in behind my driver seat. No problem! I now have a '96 Monte Carlo and have a hell of a time getting my chair in. I think it's the chair that is causing the problem.
No, the problem was the chair, it didn't fold right, it wasn't folding completely flat. I got a new chair that folds flatter (even though the chair is an inch wider) and it goes in no problem
Try a sliding board. I made one out of a 36"x6" piece. Just sand the edges round, and slope the ends slightly. I use it for sofa, car and shower bench.

is it easier to get a folding chair or rigid frame in a car? Give me your opinion people, because I'm wanting to get a new chair.

@darthjsin It could be the chair or your getting
older with more pain and things are harder with
age. I would get a van with a power wheelchair
lift next time you buy a vehicle. Then transfur
your handcontrols onto the van.
