I can only hope that when "Red Velvet Car" appears later this summer that the public may develop an interest in acquiring not only that sure-to-be-great album, but both "Private Audition" and " Desire Walks On," as well. There are some very fine performances on each of these releases. :)

@tabistevens It is a glandular problem. Ann has been dealing with it all her life. Trying to stay skinny the way their record producer wanted her to do almost killed her. (as big women go, she is drop dead gorgeous)

I'm a massive fan of Heart and have seen them live over a span of 3 decades. I remember being spine tingling mesmerized though when I first heard Donna Summer's version of this song played in 1983 and nothing will ever beat the sultry and haunting emotions Donna recorded into the song.

I love Heart...Ann has a great voice, but this song belongs to Donna Summer. Her version is superior to this version.

I definatelly agree with the notes about the Desire Walks On album. Underrated indeed. It is one of my favorites (if not the favorite) Heart albums. Especially, side A is a masterpiece, every single song is produced according to high standards.

By the way, let me ask you this: I only knew about the cd version of the "Woman in me", until I listened to the radio a slightly different version of it. Is there a remix of this?

There's a single remix of The Woman in Me. I love how Black to Black II reminds me of Barracuda, and I always listen to the back-to-back combo of In Walks the Nignt and My Crazy Head--another good one! Anyway, I hope everybody enjoys this clip, ha!

its funny, Black on Black II also reminds me of Barracuda, maybe its the guitar... and I absolutely agree with you guys, this album was soo underrated and its actually one of my favorite Heart albums, along with Passionworks (also underrated). YES, you are totally right. this album should have been as big as 85's Heart-Heart. TOTALLY shows you just how horrible the record industry "machine" can be. Their last one, Jupiters Darling-INCREDIBLE! Did IT go anywhere?? Of course not because they arent in push up bras and showing there asses or swinging on a stipper pole. TALENT doesnt matter anymore. makes me really sad.

if desire walks on was released in 1990 instead of brigade it would have been different but still an acceptable change from heart's mid 80s success. . brigade was horrible and was the reason heart lost clout in the 1990s.
