@ZooYork3331 It did the same thing to me at first, but it's because I was tightening my vocal cords...I would recomend starting lightly with like yelling and trying to add a little scratch in there, just so you can get the natural scream (that won't hurt or tickle your throat)

you do know what youre talking about technique wise, but vocal fry is the easiest way to destroy your vocal chords. i use "false chord"(chelsea grin, whitechapel, for the fallen dreams,etc). another thing about fry screams is theyre too quiet and dont give you a wide range of sounds, local bands that have fry vocals can never be heard.
