Liquid Snake,Solidus Snake, and Big Boss chose to have a bloody war for their liberty and they all ended up being used till their own deaths. In the end solid snake had people like otacon,meryl,cambell,sunny and many others to pass on his story. In the end solid snake wasnt able to leave anything for the future except his story told by the people that knew him.
Im starting to think the fact big boss was at the end of mgs4 was to show that big boss actually let solid snake defeat him. There was a conversation in mgs1 where snake said that big boss wanted death and he gave it to him just like how the boss wanted naked snake to kill her. Naked snake formed outer heaven after this and solid snake went to alaska to be alone until the final confrontation with gray fox that changed snake and mae him find a reason to live.

Of course I'd love to see a Remake of the first two Metal Gears! Maybe they could pull it off and make a one-disc game with two chapters just like they did in MGS2! @Sarinko This is a remake of the original game. In the updated version of Snake Eater, Subsistance I think it's called, there's a remake of the first and second Metal Gear games for NES. No engrish either, they redid the scripts and formatted it into proper english. On a side note modern remakes of the first two NES Metal Gear games for the PS3 would be SUPER EPIC!
We were led to believe for more than a decade that big boss was killed with a spray bottle & a zippo? & people call it a twist when he comes back? It's big fucking boss. I find it incredible to think that people were fooled into thinking he was killed by a kid's toy.

@awlawla Big Boss never actually tells Snake he's his father in Metal Gear 2. That was a minor continuity error that slipped Kojima's mind while he was writing the story for MGS1. Although, with the HD Collection, they're going to rerelease MGS3 Subsistence, including the MSX games. So hopefully in the rerelease they'll throw in a line or so during their pre-fight conversation where Big Boss tells Snake, so they can close the plot hole.
@Sanguiluna dude that makes no sense.. withholding information is not a plot hole they will leave it the same the only changes i would expect in MG1 and MG2 text in the HD would be mentioning PS3/360 rather than PS2 when it askes you to turn off and mabye some hints and Rising or other new games from Kojimapro

@heathkidd How does that make no sense? The whole "Snake was Big Boss's son" tidbit in MGS was a total ass pull, especially since the characters make reference to a revelation that never happened. It would be like if Darth Vader never told Luke he was his father in Empire Strikes Back and then in Return of the Jedi all of a sudden we have Luke trying to convince Vader to turn good because he's his father. We would've all been "What the fuck? That's bullshit!"

MGSR renamed Metal Gear Fox Rising. Acts much like Umbrella cronicles did for Resident evil. Covers MG1-MG2-MGS-pre MGS4. From alternative perspective/suport rolls of the ninjas. Series should not be called Solid as it does not have the Solid Snake gameplay. Show grayfox training Raiden as child soilder. Show diferent perspective but retell story of MG1-MG2-MGS

In MGS Snake DOES know Big Boss is his father, and he says that Big Boss revealed it during their confrontation on Zanzibar Land; basically Solid Snake remembers something that didn't happen. As a long time die hard Metal Gear AND Metal Gear Solid fan I do say they must remake this game. Solid Snake vs. Big Boss is the fight EVERYONE wants to see! There is no excuse it must happen!
But here is the sad thing....Big boss still has to die by fire through aerosol can or else it will contradict the whole plot so there is no avoiding it :( But a remake of the first 2 Metal gear games MUST HAPPEN! you already made the prequels you might as well finish off Big Bosses story once and for all.

But you should remember the establishment of "Outer heaven" is a KEY part of the metal gear series and cannot be avoided. Also the reason for Snake returning to fight big boss was due to his nightmares which is also key part of Solid snakes development in MGS4 believe it or not.

Metal Gear is one of those series that, in my opinion, just kept getting better with each game.
I'm confident that the upcoming Metal Gear Rising will follow this trend as well, just in a very different way.

Of course I'd love to see a Remake of the first two Metal Gears! Maybe they could pull it off and make a one-disc game with two chapters just like they did in MGS2! But I'd much more would Love to see more of The Boss, really! I mean just think about it playing as The boss fighting in World War 2 and fighting against The Sorrow would also be amazing!!! + It would give us an in depth look at the Bosses Life and fill in more "Unknown" parts of the story ! All In all I just can't wait for something

It's kinda ironic that Big Boss had beaten The Boss, tooken down countless Metal Gears, formed Fox-Hound and MSF, created Outer Heaven Zanzibar Land... but got bested by a zippo lighter and hairspray? This game needs a remake with a one-on-one CQC fight, since Big Boss is the creator and master of it. At least it would make his last battle more realistic.

@Sarinko This is a remake of the original game. In the updated version of Snake Eater, Subsistance I think it's called, there's a remake of the first and second Metal Gear games for NES. No engrish either, they redid the scripts and formatted it into proper english. On a side note modern remakes of the first two NES Metal Gear games for the PS3 would be SUPER EPIC!

We were led to believe for more than a decade that big boss was killed with a spray bottle & a zippo? & people call it a twist when he comes back? It's big fucking boss. I find it incredible to think that people were fooled into thinking he was killed by a kid's toy.

Wait a minute... when does Big Boss say that he's Snake's father? I mean, it's not here, is it earlier in the game? If that's the case I must've forgotten about it.

@awlawla Big Boss never actually tells Snake he's his father in Metal Gear 2. That was a minor continuity error that slipped Kojima's mind while he was writing the story for MGS1. Although, with the HD Collection, they're going to rerelease MGS3 Subsistence, including the MSX games. So hopefully in the rerelease they'll throw in a line or so during their pre-fight conversation where Big Boss tells Snake, so they can close the plot hole.

@Sanguiluna dude that makes no sense.. withholding information is not a plot hole they will leave it the same the only changes i would expect in MG1 and MG2 text in the HD would be mentioning PS3/360 rather than PS2 when it askes you to turn off and mabye some hints and Rising or other new games from Kojimapro

@heathkidd How does that make no sense? The whole "Snake was Big Boss's son" tidbit in MGS was a total ass pull, especially since the characters make reference to a revelation that never happened. It would be like if Darth Vader never told Luke he was his father in Empire Strikes Back and then in Return of the Jedi all of a sudden we have Luke trying to convince Vader to turn good because he's his father. We would've all been "What the fuck? That's bullshit!"

MGSR renamed Metal Gear Fox Rising. Acts much like Umbrella cronicles did for Resident evil. Covers MG1-MG2-MGS-pre MGS4. From alternative perspective/suport rolls of the ninjas. Series should not be called Solid as it does not have the Solid Snake gameplay. Show grayfox training Raiden as child soilder. Show diferent perspective but retell story of MG1-MG2-MGS

@heathkidd Actually, they're three different entries in the series, not the same. In MGS Snake DOES know Big Boss is his father, and he says that Big Boss revealed it during their confrontation on Zanzibar Land; basically Solid Snake remembers something that didn't happen. I don't know about you, but I think that's considered a plot hole. Plot Holes = BAD. Fixing Plot Holes = GOOD

@Sanguiluna theres probably no interst in Kojima pro to make the diferent games in the metal gear solid series make cronological sense.You may notice they rarely alude to gameplay events most of them references to diferent times are of unplayed events that are not connected. MGS4 more eviroments than events remember.. and thats more about tribute than storytelling.
expect the games to make more plot holes than less.. and remember its only a plot hole to >your< perspective of the cronological

As a long time die hard Metal Gear AND Metal Gear Solid fan I do say they must remake this game. Solid Snake vs. Big Boss is the fight EVERYONE wants to see! There is no excuse it must happen!
But here is the sad thing....Big boss still has to die by fire through aerosol can or else it will contradict the whole plot so there is no avoiding it :( But a remake of the first 2 Metal gear games MUST HAPPEN! you already made the prequels you might as well finish off Big Bosses story once and for all.

But you should remember the establishment of "Outer heaven" is a KEY part of the metal gear series and cannot be avoided. Also the reason for Snake returning to fight big boss was due to his nightmares which is also key part of Solid snakes development in MGS4 believe it or not.

@bobscratch52 no, the soundtrack, is from a PS1 game, not a PS2 game, and it is merely just the background music of the video. the game in the video has nothing to do with the NES, and is on a PS2 disc, not an MSX cartridge
