a friend told me about this happening to her. says there was this man that would walk to her bed, sit beside her, then he would reach for her. shed try to scream but couldnt. then hed get up walk to the other side of the room, and then repeat it. ive had something similar, but ive had night terrors. and i was just too scared to move too much, but i could still move enough to curl into a ball and hide from what was standing by my bed. it could have been a spirit too i do have a slight sixth sense

It's purpose is to disconnect your mind and your body so you wouldn't move your physical body while you do stuff in your dream (talking, running, etc.) For example, I'm running in my dream. But I wouldn't be able to move my physical body because it's been through sleep paralysis and you're body is paralyzed the whole night. It can also turned into a Lucid dream. ;)

This happened to me today..my room mate woke me up on her phone, but I couldn't breathe, open my eyes, or move at all. All I could do was mumble once for help.. I felt like at one point something on my bed with me b/c sometimes my friends come wake me up, so I remember sitting up but no one was on my bed.. Happens to me every night. Sleep paralysis will screw your whole life up. Some"thing" tried to rip my teeth out, some THING in my opinion a "demon" has tried to take my daughter physically out of my house.. When she wasnt even here.. Uhm i'm just going to share my opinion, but i'm taking a pshycology class and i learned that it's not that, but it might be, but again from what i learned, it's when yu reach the last stage of sleep and something all of a sudden wakes you up, your body has reached a level where yu were paralyzed due to REM sleep, during REM sleep your paralyzed, you don't move at all when yur asleep, but the fact you all of a sudden woken up, your body is still paralyzed. But it's weird that yu saw a reaper?!?

I always heard stories about a creature called a "mare" sitting on your chest and thats where the word "nightmare" originated from.but sleep paralysis(thats what its called when you wake from a dream to find yourself unable to move) is not supernatural at all.its actually quite natural and an important feature your body has to get the most effective sleep.your brain sends signals to basically put a stop to all your muscles.this way you wont move in bed while dreaming.so you wont wake yourself up
That use to happen to me too. The last time it happend was the most scariest. My spirit left my body and I spoke through my spirit. I screamed Jesus and something responded saying Demon. It walked up to my body and my spirit continued to push it away. It was SCARY! The demon was a small figure like a evil toddler. After that it never happend again

i woke up in REM sleep once (that's the sleep when you are paralyzed). I could raise my eyelids just a little, but I couldn't stop moving my eyes back and forth. I just let them close and tried to relax. It's easier to relax when you can't see old women ghosts.

Omgsh now I'm scare to go to bed!! My mom told me the same exact story a while back but I thought she was just trying to scare me.. She said she woke up one night and couldn't move and that she seen a dark shadow sitting in the corner of her bed, all she was able to move was her eyes and that she got really freaked out!!

This has happened to me a few times, I'll be sleeping and know that I'm sleeping and I'll try and make myself move my arms or whatever and I can't!! But it totally does feel like you are being held down, its really creeepy!!!!

Sleep Paralysis happens to everyone just before they go to sleep and dream! But we're all too unconscious to notice. It's purpose is to disconnect your mind and your body so you wouldn't move your physical body while you do stuff in your dream (talking, running, etc.) For example, I'm running in my dream. But I wouldn't be able to move my physical body because it's been through sleep paralysis and you're body is paralyzed the whole night. It can also turned into a Lucid dream. ;)

This happened to me today..my room mate woke me up on her phone, but I couldn't breathe, open my eyes, or move at all. All I could do was mumble once for help.. I felt like at one point something on my bed with me b/c sometimes my friends come wake me up, so I remember sitting up but no one was on my bed.. Even though my eyes were still closed & everything..I just remember it took everything in me to breathe & move something. I finally got something to move & woke up, but it was scary as hell.

Happens to me every night. Sleep paralysis will screw your whole life up. Some"thing" tried to rip my teeth out, some THING in my opinion a "demon" has tried to take my daughter physically out of my house.. When she wasnt even here.. Obviously when I couldnt save her bc I was PARALYZED. But totally saw it all happening. Leads to insomnia.. Too afraid to fall asleep. Find the cure, bc its horrifying.

Uhm i'm just going to share my opinion, but i'm taking a pshycology class and i learned that it's not that, but it might be, but again from what i learned, it's when yu reach the last stage of sleep and something all of a sudden wakes you up, your body has reached a level where yu were paralyzed due to REM sleep, during REM sleep your paralyzed, you don't move at all when yur asleep, but the fact you all of a sudden woken up, your body is still paralyzed. But it's weird that yu saw a reaper?!?

This hAppened to me too,I saw the exact same thing too.In fact,My Boyfriend I were sleeping in a twin bed too the first time it happened.Later that day I received a phone call and found out my grandma passed away!The 2nd time it happened my we were sleeping in a queen size bed and I was 9wks.pregnant.When I was able to move I started crying.So Scared!I woke up my mom and boyfriend and told em.Later on that day,my boyfriends grandpa passed away!Its a horrible experience and coincidence!

I always heard stories about a creature called a "mare" sitting on your chest and thats where the word "nightmare" originated from.but sleep paralysis(thats what its called when you wake from a dream to find yourself unable to move) is not supernatural at all.its actually quite natural and an important feature your body has to get the most effective sleep.your brain sends signals to basically put a stop to all your muscles.this way you wont move in bed while dreaming.so you wont wake yourself up

That use to happen to me too. The last time it happend was the most scariest. My spirit left my body and I spoke through my spirit. I screamed Jesus and something responded saying Demon. It walked up to my body and my spirit continued to push it away. It was SCARY! The demon was a small figure like a evil toddler. After that it never happend again

i woke up in REM sleep once (that's the sleep when you are paralyzed). I could raise my eyelids just a little, but I couldn't stop moving my eyes back and forth. I just let them close and tried to relax. It's easier to relax when you can't see old women ghosts.
