  • Opera singer???

Wow I didn't even know they were still around...most kids these days all listen to rock or country but opera.

Your kids cute but an opera singer??

  • What's not to understand?

This is when he was 2 1/2. Now he's 5 and he wants to be a baseball player, an astronaut and "the person who climbs telephone poles."

  • this is soooooooooooooooooooo cute, 5 stars

  • Thannnnkkkkk you!!!! Poor Liz, he wouldn't sing Papageno for her. (see her comment, below)

  • Why didn't he sing this for me today. :-)

  • LOL I think he had a (rare) moment of shyness! This is from about 2 years ago. Look at the video, "Alex Imitates Papageno" to hear more. :)

  • Papageno!!

Well, I become an opera singer while driving along!

  • LOL Yes I am a driving opera singer as well. All voice parts!

  • Yeah! All parts!!

Baritone to soprano! Hahahaha. And sometimes the orchestra, too. Oh, yes, conductor as well. What a genius I am.

  • thats so adorable i want to be an opera singer as well.

  • OMG he is ssoooo adorable!! I cant believe a 2 yr. old would actually say he wants to be an opera singer- its amazing!!

  • Thanks! Now he's three and wants to be a baseball player. :( But hopefully he'll change his mind again! :)

  • Ok, I'm not overanalyzing, but if you break it down to the essentials, that's very good! I'm not being sarcastic, and I'm not talking about the singing.

I"m talking about the fact that your son remembers the acceleration from pa pa PA PA to PAPPAPAPAPAPAPA. Very cute kid.

He seems to share your love of opera.

  • Thanks. Actually I think the sense of rhythm might develop before the sense of pitch. I only have my own experience to go by of course, but he used to chant a tuneless "da da da" to the rhythm of different songs, like "Mary Had a Little Lamb" and "Row Row Row Your Boat," before he ever sang on pitch. But now you've got me curious so I'll ask his music teacher tomorrow! :)

  • you can already see the innate sense of pitch. very good for a 2 1/2 year old!

  • How adorable!

  • Thank you! I have a 2 year old opera nut!

  • Hello Lundriel, I hope you becobe a famous opera Singer.

I wanted to be an opera singer as well but I have to decide between my dream and a more profitable career, since I live in Mexico, a country that does not give chances to artist like you. Best regards

  • Gracias! Es mi hijo que queria ser opera singer. Es tan tarde para mi. ;)Buena suerte, nunca se sabe que va a pasar. :)
