When I used to watch reruns of The Facts Of Life on Nick @ Nite when I was a Kid back in the day, I've always wanted Blair and Jo to be a Couple so badly because they look very cute together as a Lesbian Couple because Jo has that Butch Lesbian attitude and swagger going on and Blair is very Lipstick Lesbian-ish and they go great together. But when I watched the series finale of the show with Jo marrying a Man in the end, I was like "DAMMIT!!!" lol"
I LOVE 1:48 - 1:53 the scene and lyrics match PERFECTLY! I couldn't picture a FOL vid to this song coming out all that well, but you did a great job! 1:52 made me wanna cry! I LVOED THAT EPISODE!
This was so much fun to watch. I always liked the rapport between Jo and Blair. They were often reluctant to admit it, but they really cared for one another. Terrific vid :)

Of course such a subtext is only necessary in a world where too few lesbian couples are seen--even now,on tv. But for many young lesbians of the 80s the firey chemistry between aristocratic Blair Warner and blue collar Jo Polnechak(?) was the source many a fantasy.

haha they are friends but argue ALL the time. Jo comes from the Bronx and Blair comes from an insanely wealthy family. They barely ever agree. But they share moments and secrets that not everyone else sees and, though they won't admit it, they are each other's best friend lol :)
@smoothhoney1265 Blair and Jo both said that they were "Best Friends", but their friendship is very romantic in a sense because there were too many Lesbian subtexts throughout the entire series that suggests both Blair and Jo were really into each other, but since it was an 80's Sitcom, there was no way TV Producers at the time would do something extreme like that towards their "Supposedly" close friendship".
