The next world record striper WILL come out of the cumberland river system. I grew up in Gallatin Tn and know that water all the way up past shady cove to the 231 bridge.....we been catching pigs like those for years, a 14 inch skip jack will do the trick every time. Love to see yall putting it up for people to see.......beautiful fish. Awesome you release them as well. No other fresh water fish compares with the strength of a big striper.

i usually fish for stripe in the spring time using top water redfins but i have never caught any fish like that my biggest is bout 24lb good job guys!

Normally takes about 5 minutes or less to land one on the proper tackle.

They swim with the big blue fish underneath them. I also catch like 15 lb blue fish and thats pretty big for blues.

I use only bunker heads. It seems to work the best. I mean live bunker work aswell but I prefer using the head.

Sorry for the double post... I doubt there are any bigger stripers then 25 lbs. I catch them in a bay next to a big bridge at night only. No one really knows about that spot except a few friends. I released about 30 stripers this season already all over 10 lbs most of them are 15 - 18 lb range.

I'm glad to see you guys release them... The biggest striper I caught was 23.9 lber ... I let almost all the stripers I caught go. I'd like to catch a 40 lber or 50:)

There won't be any 40 - 50lbers if they all meet the fillet knife when they are smaller. Do the areas you are fishing have the potential for bigger fish?

That's nice you see that you guys let them go. I do the same when I catch them but I don't get them that big .... I'd love to catch a 40 50 lber I caught a 23.9 lber that was the biggest striper I caught.
