Anyone else get a Metallica like vibe from Marco? Just looks. My bias is towards Tarja, and this song is a good example why. Not that I hate Anette, but her singing doesn't have that opera'esq quality that makes Tarja sound awesome. Anette has her range and sadly alot of the NW's pacing and songs just aren't for her. Still, Amaranth will always be one of hers.

I think Lloyd-Webber and the original cast of the musical would at least have some fun listing to this. Please, you nightwish guys, never ask your new singer to imitate Tarja. That would be a very bad joke on Anette. I recently saw Tarja solo singing Ave Maria and I imagined what if they swapped her by the new replacement ??? Some "Prima Donas" like Tarja, Sarah B., Floor Jansen, Simone Simons, and others were born with the gift. The rest will keep on beeing regular singers, no matter how hard they try.

She's brought her own influence to their new music, and put her own spin on their older music. While sometimes that hasn't worked, and there's some of Tarja's songs that she should never even attempt such as this, Sleeping Sun, and Ghost Love Score, a lot of the time her versions have sounded just as good, Higher Than Hope being a good (and very surprising) example.
