i need to replace the blue light in mine sence my glofish faught till there was 1 left and i got a pair of dwarf frogs instead. were can i find the lights for this brand?
This would be a better set up for tetras and Bettas. :)
It annoys me when companies sell these tanks as starter kits for goldies, there is not enough education for people about realistic tank sizes for goldfish.
these tanks suck, I woulda returned mine the same day I got it had i not needed a homee for my betta so bad, now that hes got a aquan 2.5gal bowfrunt wish i could take this junky wana be tank back but no receipt :( no filter just bubler they call a filter thats so strong blows fish all over making them stressed the fuck out, cant be cycled, this just all around piss pore hunka junka! dont ever buy this, waste of money!!!!!!
@xVenomMaster actually bettas and gouramis have a larynth organ, so they can breathe air. It is not called lungs. And if you are sure that is what they are called find an articale that says the official name is lungs, and email me the web adress.
i got mine from petsmart today and it was broken in the box.... i wanted two fantail but that'd be way too small for them, even just one so... after i get a new one i'm gonna put two mollies in there. one question though... mine did come with a heater... did you get one and decide on another or did it not come with?
@astrodroids The 2010 model of the filter was recall i had it running with my gourami's in it and when i woke up today my gourami" bubbles" was caught in it i unpluged it now he's floating a the top he's breathing but floating at the top he's got blood streaks on his fins too. He won't swim he'll bearly eat and he's almost dead. Stupid filter! I had to give him back to the pet store and he's in a tank all alone.. if he dosen't recover the pet store's going to kill him.
I was thinking of buying this tank for my betta. He's in a 2 gallon glass bowl right now, and I want to get a 3 or 5 gallon tank for him. I want to get the 25W adjustable Elite heater for it. But I read on the box for this tank that it's made out of plastic and I've heard plastic tanks are not safe to heat. If it's acrylic then it would be fine. I know acrylic is a type of plastic but all it said was plastic, so I want to make sure before I get it. Do you know if it's acrylic or not?
Please respond is your filter marina model i25 a131 internal filter. It was recalled and i just found that out i was wondering if you found that it was too powerful for your fish thank you and please respond!
I bought this darn tank yesterday and the filter is too strong for a betta the betta literally got stuck to the filter cos of its flowy fins. now all my decor surrounds the filter so the betta doesnt get sucked . and when the water pours back inside it pushes my betta all the way to the gravel. but it is all solved.
@Russellthecollie not a filter its a bubler, wont cycle your tank and it blows air not water, shoulda returned it, hope by now you got your betta somthing better I know i did
Hey that tank is great tank for betta fish you can put a small goldfish but not a male betta fish a femail would be go with a small goldfish but betta fish are picky and would not eat tropical fish
maybe not 10 neon tetra but less( probably five).....i have experience with goldfishs and they're really dirty....and i don't want a dirty aquarium......i was just wondering if neon tetra are as dirty as goldfishes
@zxcvbnm8379 Neon Tetras are nowhere near as messy as Goldfish. They do, however, need a spacious, clean aquarium just like any species of fish.
Goldfish don't necessarily make the tank dirty, they just need an efficient filter and regular cleaning to prevent it from becoming dirty. You don't put them in the tank and visibly see algae grow. It's a common misconception.
Don't do it. 10 neon tetras should have at least a 10 gallon with a better filter. They are Tropical not Labrynth and 10 is way too many for this tank.
@zxcvbnm8379 No, this tank is FAR too small for Neon Tetras. They naturally shoal in large numbers and zoom around the tank. They need at least 15 gallons to provide space for the way they swim around.
That tank is pretty small for A Dwarf Gourami. I would not suggest putting one in anything smaller then a ten gallon. The "Rule of Thumb" is not a good thing to base on how many fish you can put in a tank, each fish has differnent minimum tank size requirment
hey man i just got this tank, but can you make a video of how to set up the tanks like the filter thing because i have no clue, and i just got my fish and i dont want it to die, please help astrodroide, thanks alot
how do u install the filter??

@supras310: Any tank THIS small would never be good for saltwater fish, you need to be very experienced with aquatic marine fish to do that.

I'm glad you decided it is too small for goldfish. I agree with you; that is a torture chamber for goldfish.
