@kidurbane You gotta be kidding me. There's a lot of things which SF4 lacks completely. It doesn't have sick combos like MK nor does it bring a nice presentation like fatalities, stages and moves. SF4 fighting system is way too strategic which at most times will encourage a frustrating wave of spamming. If you play that game you probably know what I mean. People bitch about spamming in mk9 but it's nothing compared to the level of spamming we have on SF4

for a while i've wanted to buy a recent fighting game, get a good fight stick for it and finally get hardcore into a game that other people still play. from what i've seen in video's the newest MK looks comprehensive enough, and i've loved MK games since i was a kid; but i'm finding a lot of varied opinions from people comparing super street fighter IV, umvc3 and mk9. from a hardcore aspect, which is the best fighter?

@yubbone I just begin to play mortal kombat and its look really good, the game engine are solid and have lot o things to do. I have Super Street Fighter 4, its good too in a diferent way, its based on anime, even children can play, but after some time the only thing new you have is the online mode, and online is a little boring because of the spamming of projectiles (depends of whom you fight, of corse), what i dont see in Mortal Kombat yet.

@yubbone i think mk9 is the best out of all fighting games. It's the most balanced as well, even though there are characters that have disadvantages compared to top tier characters. umvc3 is pretty challenging as well, you can pull off some impressive combos on it, i'd recommend both mk9 and umvc3

He should of used the one two punche like crazy...maybe about 3 to 4 times followed up with a 6 hit combo. He also forgot to use Liu Kang's enhanced fire bicycle kick, which could break through Sub-Zero's ice clone and it could even break through the ridiculous Sub-Zero combos.

@hisokabr you r right, mk9 does not require that much skill, but in my opinion, it is ok since i dont think an mk match should be long at all, and actually, there is a damage scale here, the more hits in a combo the less damage, but still they are powerful. i wouldn't enjoy a long combo that would deal 20% damage, and with each patches, they balance the game a little more, making those combos harder or even impossible.
