I play ps2, xbox 360, watch tv and jack in my pc through hdmi. I have left these devices on pause also. my starcraft game would be the worst for burn in as battles can last an hour or more and some elements are stagnant. I have not played starcraft for about 2 months or so.
I see no remnants of the game or any other game for that matter. the hovering pixels works really well. IF you do have temp. burn in just watch tv or static for a while. it will go away quickly.
i have this tv and after 2 years of playing xbox 360 and watching tv on it, its pretty much dead. the picture is completely distorted and fuzzy on every input and there is a red bar on the left side of the screen, now im out $1300 if i dont fix it, any thoughts?
Ok i have a 50 inch panasonic veirra plasma it is rated at 720p on the box but it can go to around 1080p apparently is that true? I also have been hesitant to play my 360 on it because of image retention/burn in should i be worried? My t.v has a game mode..is that ok to use for games?
yes the tv can take a 1080p signal, but it will display it at 720p. When you have the option just try both and see which looks better (it just depends). I have been playing my 360 for over a year and have no burn in. dont worry just enjoy the tv. there might be some image retention but you can only see it if you look for it and it goes away as soon as you start watching something else
does anyone else notice that hdtv pixelates way to much?what the heck is that!it pisses me off, i see it at the tv store all the time, at multiple stores, the images either blur at fast rates of motion or the image stops working and pixelates, is this really better than analog? i know analog doesnt do that, and it doesnt pixelate at fast motions either! why does it seem that were going backwards with technology??? someone help me out why its doing this, all of the hd tvs cant pick up fast motion?
That happens because the cable signal is too compressed. That is the fault of the cable company. If you want to see nice HD just hook up a regular antenna to an HDTV and enjoy
