Old therion is pretty rockin'... but even this is a huge step away from their debut "of darkness" which, while amazing, is pretty much indistinguishable from Morbid Angel

It's interesting to hear their origins. Even though I don't agree with others that it's better than their Lemuria/Sirius-B material it's still a cool look into music history. You get to see where all the ideas they later used for their sweeping choirs and classical interludes were formulated.

i agree with Linakias 11.Therion started much earlier than Vovin,Sirius B or Lemuria.We (old fans)have had this chance to see how they progress and changing improving their style.Although they play a bit different music nowadays the main way has been choosen on this album(Lepaca Kliffoth or Theli,for sure)Nowadays Therion also do great art(as always),espeacialy period (2004-2006/7)with Mats Leven,incredible vocalist.Great band,great song,amazing musicians

dont get me wrong, i like death/black metal alot, but if you compare the songs from "of darkness" with never songs like from "gothic kabbalah", the death metal stuff sounds pretty poor, and somehow didnt fit to the bands skills!!

and yes, indeed this song is one hell of a masterpiece! the guitars+vocals kick so much ass!!

I don't agree with you guys. Chris' vocals are great. But it depends when you started listenning to Therion.. If you kept knowing them from their very symphonic stuff, means Vovin and afterwards it is natural to not like his vocals. But for older fans who learnt Therion from HDHM and onwards it is great. Believe me on that!
