I know Laurence Olivier is considered as one of the great actors of all time, but Neil Diamond acted a lot better than Olivier in this. A cheesy movie, but there is nothing against good cheese, I really enjoyed it.

The film is acceptable; the story line between father and son is quite dreary, but the music is what makes this film shine. And it's definitely superior than the GOD-AWFUL Sgt. Pepper's movie since it at least has a storyline and not just a bunch of music montages put together at random.

I love this movie, and I adore Neil Diamond. I don't care if his acting leaves a bit to be desired, I enjoyed this very much. and Luci Arnez is pretty darn lucky that she got to kiss and dance w/the man himself, and I don't mean Sir Laurence Olivier.
