  • Upstairs at The Travellers Rest

    Brilliant!!

  • Used to travel from Darlington to The Playhouse in Newcastle on Sundays to hear them play, good to hear they're still around..

  • I've just come back from one of their gigs. Neil is still singing and writing, and Sharon is still dancing at the front of the stage. They do actually have a girl on backing vocals now, as well as three original Torpedoes in the band. Check out the Smokin' Spitfires and a Happy New Year.

I rate myself as very lucky to have been involved with the band for so many years. Thirty two years since the first gig at The Traveller's Rest, Darlington.

  • still sing this song..can remember the words even in my sleep.

  • oops thats many Happy memories!!!

  • Me too- such ahppy memories! I remember going most sundays and being envious of F troupe- especially sharon- i can see her dancing now!!!

  • Fantastic guys ... lacks that woman on bvs though, dontcha think?

  • Loved this band, Lin was a great guy.

Great to hear these tracks again. I saw Neil a couple of weeks ago, he was playing at the Maggie Bank when we were on at the Garricks Head

  • I was at the Assembly rooms on a Tuesday and the playhouse on a Sunday morning

    Fantastic Band - Good times

  • They played at our wedding. How they never made the big time I'll never know, especially with all the crap that was out there at the time - sometimes the music business sucks. They got taken under Chas Chandler's wing at some point ... but sadly it didn't happen.

  • me took this brings back down many happy memories. Living down in devon met Neil H on my honeymoon in 88 in newquay singing in another band. Great guy.

  • God this takes me back to nights spent in the Gosforth Assembly Rooms and the Playhouse singing along with F Troup. What a band they were live. Lindolph and Nigel (the two sax players) left us some years ago rest their souls. Bless them all
