  • 1. have a tibetan name.

    2. go to dharamsala and stay there for a while.

    3. make friends who r like you that have tibetan and injis parents.

    4. understand your dad, know where he is coming from,

    5. dont blame yourself, he is ashamed not at u but to how his life has structured him, but he accepts it, u learning tibetan will only make his fear of loosing you, so learn tibetan if u truly love your dad and wants him to be happy-

  • okay thank u ppl for ur comments etc. this was done for a college project. my tibetans isnt that bad and i understand where he is coming from, hense the ending. the video reflects part of my life but it is also somewhat exagerated. e.g cant speak tibetan.

    cheers.

  • Wow, a Tibetan-Japanese-Brit :D.

I want to learn Tibetan as a third language (my second language, although I'm still learning, is Japanese). You can still attend protests and show your support for Tibet without being able to speak Tibetan. Many people do.

  • china, free tibet, free hong kong, free ur own peopel and some other nation. no one like china because u dont have humen right. free all

  • You are just awesome because you care so much. I hope everything works out with you and your dad. Bhoe Gyalo! And great job in Beijing..!

  • lub ur video

  • pema you rock! love all ur videos..

  • fearless and honest, you rock! It takes this kinda honesty with self that makes a person work through any bs of our personal situations and then totally commit to something true, like a Free Tibet!

  • i am kinna sad about people living bad comments on yr payge..thats just crazy..i wanna tell u a goodway of learning Tibetan..get a Tibetan boyfriend..u know what i mean....im a Tibetan..u know..n i'm available..for u 24 hrs..so holla at cho boy..

  • i dont think its totally ur "fault" that u dont know Tibetan. learning any language takes a lot of time and energy. and its very important for parents to speak Tibetan to their kids so that kids have to know and respond in Tibetan. i believe learning a language also involves understanding of customs, traditions and beliefs. comparitively native English has a more assertive in-ur-face language and Tibetan has more passive(not weaker) and humble tone. even if u dont speak Tibetan- u r a Tibetan

  • Free Scotland and North Ireland!

  • pema do not be disheartend that you cannot speak Tibetan, since there are a lot of Tibetans who cannot speak Tibetan. As long as you feel Tibetan thats all that is needed to inspire you to help the cause of Tibet. It is not necessary for a person to speak to be Tibetan, and i have known many Tibetans who do not speak Tibetans to be more passionate about Tibet. Speaking Tibetan does not make you more TIbetan than Tibetans who do not speak the language.

    Love Tibet.Bodh Rangzen.

  • im with him - stop bringing your paki/chinky/nigga problems to our lands - deal with it yourselves. bnp. rule brittania.

  • fucking british tibet.

go back your tibet. with your african BF.

    don;t speak english.

  • qqzome118: Mind your language as it is not the right way to exchange your thoughts. What really do you want to say, come to the point instead of acting as communist chinese agent.

  • great video Pema la...don't worry about what people say about how you are not able to speak Tibetan...all that matters is that you stand 110% behind your country and proud of your heritage...best of luck to you and Bhoe ranGzen!!..

Oh by the way..I very much admire your british accent...hehehe

  • Please don't let symbols & languages bind you. We are free souls.Express what you feel. One Dream, One World,Free World, Free Tibet!

Keep the struggle & Faith. Rangzen!

  • Tibet is part of China.

  • roberthanks77: You must read history before you say that Tibet is part of China as being brainwashed by communist China. Living in free world meaning one must be realistic to seek the truth of anything.

  • Good luck..Hope you will speak Tibetan soon.Try to learn from your Pala or you can learn online or take classes in university. That works.

  • I find in your heart you are more tibetan than some others. greetings from Switzerland.

  • Go girl! We are all so proud of you

  • This very touching video sister

  • Please do never stop raising ur voice for Tibet

  • woww effin brilliant, keep it up girl

  • Dear Pema,

You are Tibetan enough for us. It is not your fault that you have a Japanese side. Don't loose your Japanese heritage either...it makes you a richer person. I am sure your father's attitude springs from the circumstances of a person, whose country has been taken and his identity threatened. However, it does not justify that attitude. We love you.

  • pema

thank you for this video and your thoughts

please do never stop raising your voice for tibet!

    mira

  • hi pema, i just wanna say that i know what u r talking about. i mean u born over there and everything. but on other hand, u should try learning tibetan. eventhough not perfect but just trying speaking. let me ask u one question???? do u speak japanese???? GOOD LUCK

  • pema i feel you. I dont think its ur fault that u grew up in England and ur mom was jap. Its typical these day but the thing about u is that you realise that you need to speak tibetan and I see that u really want to and thats why you are different from the rest. I wish u luck and i know u can do it, cause its in ur blood arigh.

  • i grew up in america and i can speak tibetan.

  • you are american , not tibetan! i was born and grew up in China. You are not chinese. get out of the mess from tibet

  • pema this is brilliant

    keep it up
