I never played this game before, but my brother in law has this game

He said that GW looks kinda like WoW

When I see this GW looks pretty cool, but WoW is still my #1 favorite game

But that's my opinion

well, it has alliance battles wich are similar to battlegrounds, there is random arena wich forms a party for arena's very fast, and also GvG (guild versus guild) wich is high end pvp.

ps: almost forgot about heroes ascent, this is also high end pvp.

so ye it has BG like pvp, but i also offers more :D

the bad thing about Guild Wars, is that you're playing "offline" while questing [If you dont group up]

I just got this game, I have been playing AoC for the past 3 months and found that it was really bad, especially the Pvp, there was never any games going on and the global atmosphere was terrible, is there a lot more people in this game? what's the average wait on a game?

this game rocks if your new to it...you can follow the storyline and if you've done that you can start getting better gear, doing dungeons, play more quests, try other campains, pvp...and for this last one: the average wait for a random arena match is 30sec ...if you want high end competetive pvp you will be waiting for minutes hours days years....you just can't get in party's bcz they are ranked.

gw accounts will be transferred in some ways true Hall of Monuments (eotn) but you will have to buy guild wars 2 to play it.

Warrior, ele, and ranger are the top tier damage classes for pvp. A lot of people won't immediately know that because it takes a top tier warrior player to show it (just watch a top 20 gvg warrior in obs mode). mesmer and necro are much easier, unless you play a pblock mesmer, which is pretty tough. VoR mes is easy as shit, but are almost just as effective though, especially in 4v4 instead of 8v8, and you don't need a PhD in guild wars to win with them like you do with apply ranger or war.
