If Ian Brines had blown for a non-existent handball moments before Samaras scored in the same game then it would have still prevented a goal and changed the result. Jason, have a read at some history, celtic were founded by the Irish fo the Irish and poor in the east end of Glasgow. Aberdeen qualified for europe due to the old firm as if it was not for the success of the old firm in europe there would only be two european qulification places, first and second in the league. Riorden is not good enough for Celtic, Aberdeen buy players from lower league clubs who turn out not to be good enough, we can sign whoever we want the player takes the chance.

He blew the whistle at the knock down which was on it's way to Diamond in space.The fact was he blew for a handball when it was nowhere near his hand. As i say you cannot question Diamond's commitment for his team and to end your season.

I agree that the whole "the whistle went before the shot" argument is missing the point. If Ian Brines had blown for a non-existent handball moments before Samaras scored in the same game then it would have still prevented a goal and changed the result. It's a leap in logic to say that the ball only went in the net because of the whistle being blown - at the absolute minimum Ian Brines prevented what would have been a great chance at a crucial stage in the game.

mate..samras was deied a perfectly good goal in the same match....i know what your saying and its 100% correct but if samaras' goal had counted then diamonds goal would have been irrelevent a the score would have been 2-1!!

Whenever a contentious decision is made there will always be a desire to prove that everything was evened out. Diamond's foul arose from the referee "seeing" a hand ball when the ball was never within a foot of anyone's hand. The Samaras decision was an aerial challenge that 50% of the time would have been given against McDonald and 50% of the time would have went unpunished. You might believe they were both incorrect, but the degree of error in the two decisions is widely different.

You did not answer the question about the IRA connections. I do not agree with our foreign policy . Our government sends these young Scottish boys to their deaths due to a commitment to Bush, to keep in with the USA. Most do not agree with why they are there.For young Scots to mock others on a football board says a lot about the chip on your shoulders. Many of these boys are Celtic fans and did not know what they were getting into.Blame Bush/Blair.

Jason1903, that is absolute nonsence, this war started before many of these people joined the Army, they knew what they were getting involved in, they thought it would be a bit of fun, get a gun and shoot at the bad guys, well the British and Americans are the bad guys. I do have some sympathy for the people who were in the Brtish Army before the conflict, however they have done their time and could have left by now, if they have not then they are terrorists.

yep well done aberdeen for gettin 4th place finish after the season theyve had and with their resources. and they av every right to laugh at rangers for 2nd place because numba 1, yeez lost the title challenge at pittodrie infront of all their fans, number 2, rangers avent won the title in 3 years and av been 3rd best once and second best twice and number 3, with the resources and the kinda season the dons av had, its a great for dem ta finish 4th.
