The best showing Malenko had in America was in ECW. They let him just wrestle solid matches without all the flash and bullshit. All Paul Heyman wanted out of him was a solid match, and he delivered every time, regardless of the opponent.

The series between him and Eddie Guerrero were truly classic. You couldn't do that in WCW or WWE back then, and you definitely can't do it now. It's just another reason wrestling isn't worth watching anymore.
