  • who care about win/loss. defensive style will always be the best to watch and be a few to play that style for life.

  • why are you guys bitching about joo's chop? thats the way he plays. hes the only defensive player in the international top ten. his style is bery impressive and its probably annoying as hell to play against him because he CAN play offensively, he just doesnt do it all the time. nonetheless, wang hao is better.

  • joo has perfect foot work

  • joo has become more aggressive in his playing style

  • He plays this way with Hao because his offense is no match.

  • Noobish comment.

  • I think his offensive stroke isn't half as strong as Hao's. If he played an offensive stroke, Hao would crush him even more.

But I agree, he needs to work on his top-spin and alternate between a loop drive and chop. It looks like he is burning a ton of energy defending - this might've worked when the ball size was 40mm but not anymore.

  • wang hao is much better

  • joo is perfect...

  • I like how the vast majority of these points are ones Wang Hao won.

  • doesnt seem like that

  • greatest chopper....

  • it's like the spiner vs the smasher

  • i think doing so much defence like joo was doing against wang hao is completely crazy

as you can see as wang hao loops the ball

    the underspin or backspin redduces

and when he has the chance to attack,,

    deaD\

    DHS Hurricane III Rocks

  • Wang Hao is actually sort of playing like Ma Lin, anyone notice the similarity in the strokes?

  • they both hav wu jingping as a coach and practice with each other under him

  • no niezle

  • im not a virtuoso at the game but im decent when i play 1st timers i chop but to everyone els i am an alround player...... this game RULES (ping pong/table tennis what ever you want t ocall it)

  • /watch?v=HlM_WbBwXkQ&feature=related

  • One of the commentators was very rude. He should learn some decorum.

  • bty Tackfire Drive on the forehand and hes mixes between bty long feint 3 and TSP Pr-1 on the back hand.

  • i think he mainly uses the feint long on the back

  • Joo Se Hyuk NEVER used FL III. This was just said by Butterfly to advertise their new long pimple Rubber. Joo played a Feint Long II (not III) once but changed to TSP Curp P1R 1,5mm.

  • What blade and rubbers does Joo Se Hyuk use?

  • tuckifire drive 1.9 red(glued) on fh,tsp curl p1r 1.4-1.7 on bh,butterfly joo se hyuk blade...wondering what after the glue ban...

  • What blade and rubbers does Joo Se Hyuk use?

  • whats best blades for chen qis long pipes?

  • Joo spielt auf der VH nen Tackifire D

und auf der RH den Feint Long 2.

Das Holz ist ne Spezialversion vom Butterfly Joo Se Hyuk Holz.

  • WHOOOO JOO SE HYUK!!! KOREA !!!

  • Go go Joo Se Hyuk!

  • was spielt er für beläge? also joo se hyuk

  • Lets not forget though, its 65 degress angle and not a loop substantionally. I'd hit harder more than I would not hit it hardest. Hitting straight into it at 45 deg is terrible, but if your hitting "topspin: you better hit or chop. Does'mt matter which but if at 45 deg its probably better to just hit it HARD. Plus, if your hitting it make sure its 55 deg. Plus add some spin on it so that it changes its tradjectory a bit more. Make sure its at 45 deg or else its gonna drop more. Hit it hard!!

  • um no one cares about the angles jus loop it or smash it 2 options <.<

  • Very good video just the comments from Armedshot sucks. Wang hao is very good but my favorite for olympia is ma long (after Oh Sang Eun)

  • 5nature, hittng chops is not exactly "hitting" the ball with no topspin the bat is places at an angle of about 45 degree and pushed/force up and forward through the ball, as in considerationt to a loop you brush over the ball instead of straight into it. Hope Ive cleared that up :)

  • Man, I remember the full match. Joo was so close to winning! Man, it's crazy watching him chop back those RPB loops against backspin. It's not easy because of all the funky side spin. Add to that, the mechanics of the shot that make it so fast and hard to read. I almost always miss read RPB loops and chop them into the net, even with long pips.

  • Choppping with Long Pips is alot of fun especially if your playing a very agressive player who likes to loop. It makes your opponent loop harder just to counter the spin reversal of the long pips.

  • and yes ropak...chopping is a lot of fun ( i use it alot aginst lil bro who happens to be as good as me and it is fun :D

  • as everyone can see joos chops hardly effect hao wang at all and u can even see that hao is SMASHING just about everyone of em back too

  • so why did joo get 6 match points

  • hao wasnt smashing, its just big loop. you cant smash a ball with full of backspin

  • Joo is the greatest chopper around right now. His chops are said to have lots more backspin than compared to other choppers. Wang Hao wasn't smashing them. He was looping most of them. He only smashed those chops which came high and too close to the net.

  • Joo is great, but do you ever heard about DING SONG? the idol of Joo....

  • Ropak, about your reply to one of my comments before, you said he is waiting for the opponent to make an unforced error. That is exactly what I said. Read all my posts, you will see "unforced error" in them, and and unforced error basically means mistake. It is the same thing.

  • re-read my comment again i didnt say it was unforced errors

  • and also common lets face it chopping is allot of fun and if everyone was an aggresive player wouldnt it be so boring at least joo se hyuk is bringing some diversity to the professional level of table tennis

  • Oh, great, so ARMED, you DO agree with me!

    Cool!

  • chopping = bad = getting smashed on like now other

  • i dunno but how can you smash bakspin?

  • top spin

  • then you should call it a loop, smash are way different than loop

  • top spin smash... whats so diff?

  • smash is a non spin attack....top spin is spin attack. are you telling me that a non spin attack is the same than a spin attack?

  • no.. but everyone smashes with topspin guaranteed. what the vid

  • you can add all types of spin to a smash. one has to realize that really none of the strokes are discrete or distinct, they really are all just points on a continuum. In most cases a "smash" is just a drive or loop to a higher ball. It can have all sorts of spin on it.

  • Dang, my last post did get lost, it was a comment to Jon, I think, but I forgot what exactly it was.

  • Hey, what happened to my other post???? I had one last comment, and it disappeared!

  • That was supposed to be one big post, same with my other one, but it did not let me type that much.

Do you guys even understand what I am talking about? I am trying to be as clear as possible to get my opinion/point across.

  • ARMED, I am kind of confused about your post if you are for, or against me, but I did notise Joo tried to use some offensive tactics near the end, where he actually "earned" the point, but that just shows that playing defensively is not winning.

  • Hey, I never said chopping was a way to win games easier. It does not really seem like the both of you read my post. Jon, Joo still is just waiting for his opponent to make a mistake. As I said, I do not think you can call yourself a "better player" by playing all defence, you win just by how often the other person messes up.

  • no he is not wainting for his opponent to make a mistake lobbing is waiting for your opponent to make an unforced error chopping has spin invloved so joo can use his SKILL of being decietful and making it look there is more spin/less spin than their actually is if u want to see just wating for unforced errors watch michael maze lobbing

  • umm ok its obvious that its MUCH harder to win a game while chopping...then answerthis...WHY would u keep chopping if u know its not working!! WOWOWOWOW if its not working try something else DURRR

  • notice the forehand loops. he disrupts the opponent, try to get an imperfect return which he loops or smashes. i don't mean to abrasive, i just like hyuk.

  • armdsh0t finnaly i agree with you that it is allot harder and joo se hyuks level to win a game while chopping but have u ever considerd that maybe joo likes to chop? not everything is always about winning i would rather be ranked 14th in the world doing what i like to do than being ranked 1st doing somthing i dont want to do

  • Again, I am sorry if I offended anyone with that post, I did not mean to. I am just stating my opinion and no one needs to agree with it.

  • Okay, I am sorry if I offend any defensive players out there, but I do not think you can play all defensively and win by calling yourself you are better than the other person. Playing defensively basically means sitting back and waiting for your opponent to make a mistake, unforced errors. By doing this, you are not proving anything other than the fact that people are not perfect. So, playing all defensively is only proving how good the other person is.

  • Joo is much worse than the chinese players. The Chinese are the best in table-tennis. But come on it's not fair to say joo is a bad player. I think he's number 8 of the world. Only Timo Boll has a big chance against the Chinese, he's number 4 of the world

  • joo's the 12th best in the world. and people who say he sucks don't appreciate true talent. it's MUCH harder to win a match while chopping than it is to win with looping. yet joo se hyuk is still number 12. try chopping a fast loop and then tell me he sucks.

  • joo gets destroyed every vid i watch the only one i watched is him winning against ma lin 1 time othewise joo sucks and hao wang rapes joo

  • Wow, Wang Hao is stomping his ass!!! That is the best i've ever seen Hao play.

  • i guess ure a korean... if joo is better than all other chinese players. then he should be no.1 aand do u kno how many times wang hao had beated ryu sung min before?

  • um its no wonder ryu seung min got beat by wang hao 4-0? in both slovenian open and asian cup doha?

  • @ bloodsh0t

    his name is "hou yingchao"

  • i think hao yingchao [sp?] is a better defender, and i dont like watchin chen weixing, his form looks so... unbalanced. lol

  • ya i no chen looks lik hes gonna fall any moment

  • im no korean fan but joo is an excellent chopper and his counter loops r too good

  • Well it's not as if Joo has any other style. I'd say he did pretty well.

  • i think chen weixing is alot better

  • good match but too bad da quality isn't 2 good, n da annoncer's speakin chinese.

  • then how doesnt he win against wang hao ever...

  • i am a sponsor UMASH THE GREAT call me

  • Joo is the best of them all defenders in table tennis.

I am the best one on Iceland by my opinion :)

  • man!!! joo returns every ball

    well done wang

  • wow great match!
