I think you are incorrect about the line "I've seen religion but the light has left me blind" Considering Dio is a pretty open opponent to organized religion, I would say that line criticizes religion directly. Although the song is open to interpretation, I don't see in any way how the song Bible Black paints religion as a good thing. The song title Bible Black is a direct shot a Christianity, how is it not?
