2] I used blackra1n and then used redsn0w for verbose boot

3] I used an MB iPhone 3G and MB iPod touch 2g. MC will not have any custom firmware or verbose boot.

well no, if it's already jailbroken and you forget to charge it. all you have to do is just hook it up and double click blackra1n and then it'll jailbreak again and all your stuff will still be there.
