  • This song - Have You Ever Mellowed - By Olivia Newton John peaked at # 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart on 03-08-1975

  • SO GOOD=]

  • still one of my all time favorites...still popular after all these years too

  • オリビア最高!!!彼女は私にとって永遠の女神です☆☆☆

  • still one of my favorite songs of all time. And the only woman my wife lets me give a rose when I see her in concert.Thank you Olivia for continuing to tour the USA.Hope to see you in the Wisconsin Dells in the near future.I will have a rose waiting...

  • Seriously if i had to choose one song to be tortured to death with this would be the song, i could last for weeks like this.

  • Love this song !

  • Can you picture Lady Gagme tryin to pull this off ha ha haha, not gonna happen.

  • @witchman1 Can we have one fucking video on Youtube and just enjoy it for what it is without some moronic douche bringing up Lady Gaga or Justin Beiber ??? Why are they such factors in your life? Who gives a shit? Every generation is gonna have a pop prince/princess or group that puts out garbage for dumb teenaged girls. From Shaun Cassidy doing Da Do Ron Ron to New Kids on the Block to The Backstreet Boys. Get over it already. People are fucking obsessed over that broad Gaga.

  • Oilvia is the 1970's girl next door in this video.

  • What ever happened to singers like this??? Ones who could just sing a song and not have to strip down to nothing in order to sell their music?????

  • @pabsk67 good point! If anything she played down her looks, yet every guy at the time was in love with her. I miss those days. I also miss Midnight Special....such a great show.

  • @pabsk67 What....you haven't heard of Colbie Cailett or Cheryl Crow or Norah Jones or Diana Krall ??? I love Olivia NJ but there are still great singers out there that don't strip down to nothing.

  • pretty and talented, not too shabby!!

  • This song used to be a huge hit on the radio.

  • first song i ever remember as a kid..what a song!

  • I love her since I was six years old (and that was in 1972...). Livvy, You´re great!

    Greetings from Germany!

  • this song still helps me drop a bomb in the morning , and the beatles too..

  • thanks for posting this/love her look :)

  • hey guys i even loved her more she was great

  • I had a major crush on this girl growing up ...

  • My high school sweetheart!..God I loved her !

  • Sooo beautiful with a great singing voice.

  • She is marvelous!

  • She's such the adorable fox in this; It reminds me of chicks in 1977 who wore bubble gum lip gloss. Love every bit of it.

  • My mom named me after her and Im proud of tat shes a marvelous singer and shes very pretty

  • Most decent and good looking performer with a true golden voice to back her up.

  • I was in the Coast Guard when this

came out. It was when I fell in love with

her. What a classy gal and what a voice.

  • I ever heard this song in Dance Dance Revolution 1st mix

But I prefer This version to DDR...

  • she is just the epitomy of a woman in a time of innocence...

  • excelente cancion

  • Love it. It's about 20 years older than me, but I still love it.(:

  • i like the cover of this song be the feederz

  • The Accused do a great version too...

  • and the nip drivers do as well

  • olivia is the best!!!!!!THE ORIGINAL DIVA!!!!!!!!!

  • ONJ has always been one of my favorite singers; my earliest memory of this song is hearing it on the car radio one morning while my mother dropped my father off at work. At the time we only had one car, & I think in '75 Mom was still a housewife with me & my brother at home until she went back to work a year later. Ah memories.....

  • Didn't Don Kirchner who legally and rightfully owned this video tapes for so many decades and refused to put them out there for the fans for such a long time we thought we would never see them again to take us back to this historical days of the Midnight Specials that were aired at midnight so long ago.She had so many glued to the tv sets waiting for her appearance.

  • I saw a bunch of Midnight Specials DVDs on Amazon. They are not complete shows but live cuts by a dozen or so singers sold by year. Olivia was on a few separate DVDs singing this song, Don't Cry for Me Argentina, and Magic. She hosted a complete show in 1980 and sang a few other songs not on the released DVDs.

  • Olivia has always been my favorite female singer. Her incredible voice and breath-taking beauty had me hooked the first time I saw her when I was child. I proposed marriage to her in a letter when I was 11. She sent me an autographed black & white photo. I still have and cherish it to this day.

  • I've always liked hergirly voice - and she can sign so well!

  • Beautiful clip. She has always had such a lovely voice.

  • Wonderful soothing voice. Beautiful inside and out. Olivia is one of a kind.

  • its like powerful but high and soft, i don't know how to explain it lol

  • OMG! This is the show I first saw her on TV. The Midnight Special is one of the best things to come out of the States. What a Goddess! Thanks for posting.

  • Super, I've loved her sinds I can remember (39 years old now).

  • she is so grace

  • The bell bottoms was the latest rage and the do was the greatest hit by so many high school girls heck i remember about 10 of them had it coiled and curled on the sides as such and with a different color on them she made media hair dos go gagaga with her styles man.

  • hey there handsome

  • Era muy bella.

  • she is sooo hot

  • You know Ms.Livvy does state in her many concerts throughout the USA symphony halls she has them with the orchestra as her ba ckground at so many of them, i saw in concert twice at the Dallas Symphony Concert Hall, and recently just now in the 2000 decades revealing to her fans ,"That just now am i beginning to understand what the song really means" ,she doesnt go into details

  • This makes me want to smoke a massive joint-- and I don't even like pot.

  • wow you got that right

  • oh yes i remember how back then when it was midnight and our parents went to sleep and everyone else younger of age who were given permossion to stay up and watch it ,there one condition to seeing it though , we had to have the volume of the tv set very low, i do remember this and we didnt get to listen to it just right , i also remember i would sit on the floor and get close to the tv to hear it ,after the midnight show was over it was 1:00am

  • there was a time when i was in a hurry

  • One of the best, and most beautiful singers ever. Period.

  • thanx for adding this. This is still my all time favorite song and I have heard it many different ways. This version brings back the memories of sneaking downstairs at mdnight on fridays and sitting right in front of the tv with the volume turned waaaaay down to catch the how. Funny how some of those performances were lip-synched with differing quality.Olivia still travels around the country in concert so catch her live sometime. She is still near the top of her game.!!!!

  • Thanks to amandafox for posting this. Sure it can be about enjoying life in the 70's in a marijuana haze but that's not all it can be about. Try listening to Olivia's heartfelt rendering here and then compare it to her beautiful treatment of Gerry Rafferty's "Right Moment" from the "Soul Kiss" album. This song, as Ms. N-J interprets it, is also about the profound spirituality of living in the moment. The depth of, as Sakyamuni put it, "being content with what is at hand". Greg G. of Portland

  • She was as sweet as a juicy peach...just lovely. The stuff dreams are made of. What a pity she is so unique.

  • who remmembers those midnight specials when we baby boomers back then had to ask permission on fiday nights to stay up to watch at 12:00 the shows and wait all night to see Olivia come out ,when i heard her then i knew thats what i wanted to be a singer and hollywood i was on my way

  • This song reminds me of a boyfriend in college. He sure was mellow alot, if you know what I mean. I miss you Ronald, if you read this. Arkansas girl to Arkansas boy!

  • the haircut was the latest rage back then and i rememeber her having it in her first american appearance on the Bob Hope Christmas Special in the hobo train scene , she was so cute with that do back then .Iwas a teenage lad with that special.

  • Thank God the Farrah Fawcett hairstyle is out. Such a soothing voice.

  • I fell in LOVE with ONJ after hearing this beautiful song as a kid! I really didn't know what she was singing about, but I loved her pretty voice....then after i saw her...WOW! I've been in love with her ever since!

  • Motownbaby, I feel the same way... watching this brings me back to my 7 year old crush. I was just mesmorized by Olivia, nevermind that she is 20 years older. It should be a crime to be so breathtakingly beautiful and she seems to have such a great personality too. Thanks to amandafoxx for sharing this - it really brightened my day.

  • You're just jealous that The Accüsed will never sell even one percent of the records that Olivia has.

  • Jealous because she's a lot prettier and more talented than you. Who are you anyway?

  • the quintessential 1970s teen-boy heart-throb. despite all that, she was / is a great singer and seemingly down to earth.

  • She is still down to earth and very kind.

  • Olivia is a fantastic woman!

    Someone from Hungary

  • I fired off many a knucklechildren to her!!!

  • nice girl in verity...

  • Sorry, folks, that was the posting of my indignant daughter--she totally misinterpreted what I said. Whoever modifies this list please delete this post and her post.

  • you ol are pig to tell you

  • She is an absolute beauty! What a talent back in 75 and now in 2008! Saw her in concert a few years back in Atlanta and she still looks and sounds fantastic!

  • This is wonderful! Thanks for posting it. ONJ: A beautiful woman, well-suited to her beautiful singing voice

  • One of the most beautiful babes of all time!

  • I love her

  • ew this song is not for discos!

  • SHE IS AWESOME!!!!

  • i use to sing this all the time, trying to sing like her. her voice is soo pure....

  • rec it and post it so we can listen you singing to ....!!!??!|!

  • My name is Olivia!

  • :)))))

  • olivia = stone cold fox!

  • huckleberryfrontal,

Tell your mommy that you are not allowed on the computer anymore dumbass.

  • god she was cute!

  • How does one go about reporting huckleberryfrontal to youtube? I see no place to reporting this person who is breaking the rules here with his comments.

  • I wonder if Britney Spears would shrivel up if she had to sing this song.

  • Britney Spears shriveled up already anyways hasn't she? Olivia wa way out of her league in her prime!

  • Ah, Xanadoo

  • Great song!

    Thanks for posting.

  • This must have come out in 1975, I was working in a bank in Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan and I remember listening to it while travelling into Moose Jaw. Me and my Buick LeSabre 350 cu in. tri power pre oil crisis automobile

  • A very hard song to sing!

  • She is beautiful!!!!

  • this song make me think'n of my puppy love,Sze i never forget you are the only love with my life,i don't know where 've you been, maybe you get married or got some child.i very regret we've no time to make this happen

  • Olivia is the best!

  • onj always delightfully sweet

  • Great song, beings back memories of being an innocent little kid back in the 70's (when everything was still magic). Oh, and saxonenergy, relax with the Sugarman threats. You do realize if this user hadn't posted this great song, we never would have seen it as she sang it live when it was actually a hit at the time? Every other version of this song here, that I've seen thus far, was made years later, long after ONJ's prime.

Thank you amandafoxxx for posting this vid. :-)

    Sweet memories.

  • God she was so gorgeous!!

  • Another incredible performance by the very best.

  • F Burt Sugarman, if he wasn't such a dick to Carol Wayne she'd still be alive!

  • This user posts clips just to sell illegal bootlegs. He has been reported to the authorities and to Burt Sugarman, who owns Midnight Special.

  • Great video I have always loved ONJ!
